Hi LTT!! Just wanted to share my first custom watercooled rig.. Its still unfinished, waiting for a few more parts before I have it repainted, namely the TT Riing 12 Fans, GPUs and Dye..

Yes there are Riing RGBs and that is what im using sir.

Heyy Guys: Planning and building my rig as of the moment. This is going to be a Custom Watercooled Gaming PC wherein AESTHETICS and SILENT OPERATION. are mostly the 2 things prioritized in the build
I am very very undecided what Theme I'm going to make due to Hardware I really Like (Avexir Raiden Series) and some of the stuff I'm looking for is out of stock..

Originally Theme was Pure Red.. Then Black Red.. Now Black Red White.. Now Thinking of Red Black White Blue.. I know.. F Me.. 

Stuff I already have:
Intel Core i5-4690K
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 (RED + BLACK)
MSI GTX 960 
Cooler Master Mastercase 5 PRO
Corsair RM850W PSU
(2) 1TB Toshiba HDD
(1) 256GB Samsung SSD
2 meters of WHITE LED Strips.

Watercooling Stuffs:
D5 Pump
Acrylic Tubing
(12) Chrome Fittings
(2) 90deg Fittings
EK Thermosphere
CPU Block (Transparent + RED LED Lighting)

Stuff I still need:
(4) Avexir Raiden Series (BLUE + WHITE)
Coolant (Only available coolant is either EK/Mayhems. RED is not available for either, only BLUE/WHITE)
(6) 120mm Static Pressure LED Fans  
                -(I ONLY have the option to choose between Corsair SP 120 LED Fans OR Thermaltake Riing 120mm LED Fans) Almost all colors are available.. (RED,BLUE,WHITE)


Any opinions on what I can do with my color Scheme?

Greetings!! I'd like to get the comments and insights of our community with regards to the fans I might end up getting for my Radiators..
 
 
Corsair SP 120 High Static 120mm RED LED vs Thermaltake Riing 12 

PROS/CONS? I'd be using about 6 of these for my unit.. 4 fans for pushpull at the front of the case and 2 fans at the top as exhaust both onto my radiator.

Which is Quieter? or overall the better fan?


Please don't suggest other fans I could buy as these 2 are the only SP fans available in my area..

You can get a high quallity fanless PSU for this price like the Seasonic platinum fanless 550 watts.
And your 850 watts psu is still overkill.
My system (2xgtx 980) pulls about 375 watts in gaming and 500 watts in torture test. Your power consumption will be even lower.
Get a max. 600 watts platinum PSU and you will save quite a bit if electricity.

An overkill PSU has up- and downsides: 80Plus rated psu's reach their highest efficiency at 50% load. Your system wont draw more than 300W (maybe a bit more when overclocked). BUT you will never be able to get the money you spent on a high wattage PSU back with the higher efficiency and lower consumption . For your current system, get a 500-550W psu. If you want to futureproof get a 700W- 750W PSU

IF they have the same rating (e.g. gold) than yes. Otherwise the one with the better rating will peobably be better.

its just salespeople being salespeople. Go with somewhere around 500watts. That would leave you room if for anything. Or if you plan on sli'ing, you could look at 600-650. High end corsair or high end evga. Usually all gold units from either will be fine. Also xfx and seasonic are pretty good brands.

It's not bad, PSUs normally pull close to what they need from the wall outlet. The real bummer is that higher wattage psus cost more money.

The con is that you waste money at buying the 1000 watts PSU as well as while running since the max. efficiency is around 50% what you will never hit.

Well you won't need more than 500 watts even if you upgrade.
550-600 watts is fine (or a quallity PSU at least)

Well.. at least that "guy" stopped me from buying the very expensive PSU that the salesperson was trying to sell me.. Thanks to him even if what he said wasn't true..
