Look in Ikea, find the one that suits you best.

Depends on your room.  As a bit of advice, Ikea is love, Ikea is life.  Go with whatever fits well in your room and holds everything you need it to.

Thank you everyone for your opinions and answers!

I am going with the MSI version of the GTX 970, and will be overclocking it. I know that the R9 390 does have a bit better of performance, and has a great amount of vram; but a lot of the games I play are geared towards Nvidia drivers and PhysX. I am also very familiar with the way Nvidia cards work, and how all of their software runs, so it's more efficient for me.

You're better off buying the 390. Your CPU right now is good enough for modern gaming and jumping to the Intel ship for a minor increase in FPS doesn't justify the price. You'll get a better increase in FPS with the 390 that's much better than the 970 is.

Are AMD's drivers as good as Nvidia's?

    If not better

Does the R9 390 run really hot?

    Yes but that doesnt matter

Is the R9 390 as quiet as the 970?

Not as quiet but quiet enough

is a 750w PSU good enough?

    500w is enough

Do i need 8GB of VRAM for a 1080p monitor/ultra settings or is the "4GB" Vram enough?

8gb is great when you decide to mod games or upgrade your monitor

yes, but most games tend to be nvidia optimized. still the 390 beats the 970 most case scenario
    no
yes, depends on the models of the 390-970 comparison
    yes
no, but games nowadays can utilize more than 4 gigs even at 1080p
for higher resolution the 8gigs will be nice to have

    1. Yes. Though updates do note come as fast as nvidia.
    2. No. You're picking a TF5 cooler.
    3. Since its the Msi TF5 cooler they should be as quiet.
    4. Yes, for either cards.
    5. No. Unless you play vram heavy games (modding skyrim).

    Both cards overclock well.
