  1. That perspective is important and I agree, this probably isn't is a big deal for either of the companies financially, but the error and how they handle it is, and for many people a few dollars more on a bill makes a difference.
  2. ArsTechnica reports on cable companies overcharging customers for service and equipment. According to the article both companies were overcharging customers. Time Warner: $1,919,844 per year Charter: $5,312,292 per year Those numbers of course are totals for the companies. Time Warner will be giving one-month credits to customers who were overcharged, but for many people who have been overcharged for months this will not cover what they have spent, and their only chance is to bring up the issue with them. 3. You can look into something like Synergy, Luke did an episode on it here. Depending on your setup it might be useful.
  4. What about phones that can be used under water on their own like the Xperia? Edit: I know Sony now says not to, but could it still be viable in little amounts of water?
  5. hands down the funniest build video I have ever seen

  9. I think bringing a desktop through security would be your bigger issue. They probably wont like it, nor will the xray machine.
  10. Does the position of the tubes on the radiator matter? In a build I'm doing, it would be easiest to mount the radiator on the front of the case with the tubes in the bottom, not the top. Does this matter or will it damage the pump/not cool as well? Using the h100i GTX in the IN WIN 805 (that does not have vents on the top of the case)
  11. Finished ordering parts for a new build, its going to be so epic!!!

  12. Finished a beautiful build! http://pcpartpicker.com/guide/yRqqqs/msi-build-your-dream-pc-guide-steel
  13. it is so important to understand that a correlation or link doesn't mean that this is the cause of that. and looking at many studies, both for and against, many stated that video games may be one of many factors towards aggression.
  14. I'm glad you brought that up, because the same goes for many people. This study is looking specifically for a link between video games and aggression, but there are also studies that look into the benefits of video games. Different games have different effects on different people.
  15. Yes, and for this assignment that is exactly what I am looking for. How different people view the topic so I can see what differences in viewpoints are out there. Looking at responses from gamers and parents for example show many different arguments.
  16. I am doing a project on how the media and public react to a controversial study and what the popular beliefs/opinions are. If you guys could vote on the pole and leave your thoughts in the comments it would be a huge help.
  17. in your front pocket? i can just fit a tablet in my back pocket edit: turns out I can fit a Nexus tablet in my front pocket. They're bigger than I thought
  18. I am about eligible for an upgrade and want peoples take on the current flagship phones. Looking for: Android NFC No fablet size at least half decent audio MicroSD slot What phones do you guys like/dont like on the market right now?
  19. Have you gone through all the basic trouble shooting? Its usually something simple, broken cable, somethings unplugged, is the wall port you are plugging into working, ect
  20. Assuming that is 1500 AUS, that is still 100 USD which is probably much more than you need to spend. I built a 1200 rig not long ago and realized how unnecessary it was. Much of that went into aesthetics which I did not need to do and I sacrificed a good cooler to have fancy looking parts. I love looking at it everyday, but I could have got the performance I needed for a few hundred less than I spent. If money is an issue (and when you are 13 it always is) then go budget and get by without ultimate graphics until you get a job.
  21. That is an oddly specific age to start working.
  22. My town recently had a free electronics recycling day and I filled my trunk with old parts, the oldest being some server I had laying around for years. I dont know anything about it, but that thing was older than me. Also had some Windows 95 workstations.
  23. I probably could if I really wanted to, but thats not a life I want to live
  24. Living on campus with fast speeds. 550/350
