Bro...1K would be like 720p if not less. The K (1K, 2K, etc.) refers to how many pixels on the horizontal axis on a 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen. But when you say something like 1080p, 720p, 480p, etc. it means the vertical axis. His point was that 1920x1080 resolution is so close to the 2048x1080 that it might as well be considered 1080p as you can't really tell the difference. 2K was just adapted as the term for 1440p (and 1080p for, well, 1080p), though it is more like 2.5K (and 2K).

That would be the C5 type.

What I've gathered from this thread and just general life so far:
Techie Language:
CPU = Central Processing Unit
MoBo = Motherboard
GPU = Graphics Processing Unit
RAM = Random Access Memory
HDD = Hard Disk Drive
SSD = Solid State Drive
ODD = Optical Disk Drive
PSU = Power Supply
Tower = The PC Case
Computer = All these components acting together as one to complete complex calculations that, in-turn, do complex tasks.
Wifi = A wireless connection through an ip leading to a router which gives one access to the network that acts as a bridge to the internet.
Network = A connection created by an ISP, a modem, and a router, which allow independant electronics to access the internet or WWW through it.
Consoles = BURN THEM ALL!
Macs = BURN THEM ALL!
Non-Techie Language:
CPU = Computer
MoBo = Computer's mom
GPU = General Purpose Unit
RAM = Extra storage in case your HDD/SSD gets 'tired'
HDD = Computer
SSD = Computer
ODD = Idk it's too odd for my taste see what I did there? I'll, umm, see myself out.
PSU = 'Processing Stuff' Unit
Tower = LOL some WoW crap?
Computer = CPU
Wifi = As long as it's free it's a good thing!
Network = A series of tubes THAT HAVE CATS IN THEM!
Consoles = ERMEHGERSH ERMERZIN!!! 100% BETR GRAFICS DAN PC!!!
Macs = Idc 'bout yer GTX 980 Ti and 6K Res or whatever. I've got a RETINA DISPLAY YEAH!!!
How acurate would you say I am?

Showed my console-loving (blech) friend my custom built PC (with the lid off ) and he pretty much said that his PS4 had better than whatever part I would name. For example, if I said "yep and I have 1TB of WD 7200RPM HDD Storage", then he would reply with "Yeah my PS4 has that only its much faster at 2TB per second and can hold up to 10K RPM."
Then he gets on me about the simplicity of plug n play of his console though it really isn't (updates, system config, etc.) and says my computer is too complex to be considered useful. What?!

Oh yeah forgot to mention: "And I also have a Windows 7 OS installed" Him: "Whatever. My console doesn't need an OS. It runs on the games."

Another story (not mine found it on another forum and thought it was funny):
One day, some guy walked into our IT department, and said he had a virus on his computer. We asked him if he brought it and he said he didn't need to. He said he trapped the virus and brought the part which it was trapped in. I figured he was able to get all the bad files onto an external HDD or something but then he pulled out an ethernet cable he was holding from the edges, forming a 'U'. He said he turned on his wired network so that the virus would move on to spread, and waited about 5 minutes. Then he turned everything off, and unplugged the ethernet cable because he thought the virus was trapped inside, and was holding it like a U so it wouldn't "spill out".

just thought of another one haha. Its more like 2 actually. Me and my friend are the idiots in this. I'm about 7-8 in this and am really tech iliterate.
Part 1: So me and my friend got MCPE (Minecraft Pocket Edition. Yes, back when Minecraft was still a thing) on his ipod something or other (know nothing about mac products lol never bothered with them) and I got it on my Kindle Fire, and we kept wondering why his was lagging so badly when mine wasn't. Our brilliant conclusion? Well my device was bigger, and bigger = more space, more space = more places to put processing power units, more places to put processing power units = the more you have, and the more you have = the better your device is. I went on believing that for months DX
Part 2: So we went to do multiplayer but had no idea how it worked, so we both went into bluetooth (or "the connector wifi stuff" as we called it) and basically started pairing with every random device in the house. His mom's phone, dad's pc, his alarm speakers, even the smart TV. For some reason they were all unlocked and we were suddenly controlling the house. O_O Didn't even realize it till the TV started randomly turning on/off when we pressed buttons.

Also, this is another story I read somewhere (I'm full of these lol) some guy (around the 13-15 age range) walked into a Fry's Electronics since he needed a new ATX mid-tower to fit a 240mm radiator. His current case said it did, but it lied apparently. He goes up to an employee and asks him what he suggests and he starts showing him these mATX cases. Thinking he misheard he said "No I mean something that can fit an ATX board". The employee's response? "Kid, you don't know what you're talking about with this ATX, Star Wars, whatever nonsence." My jaw literally dropped upon hearing this considering Fry's employees usually know what they're doing.

That's purely opinion. I'd say Firefox paired with Google search (blech Bing) is the best IMO.

Just...what? The human eye is not a camera; it doesn't perceive frames. People need to stop relating it to one. The blu-ray headaches are most likely caused by the blue light radiated from a screen (just like any other kind of display).

It's the new setup Microsoft did. They basically take closing the upgrade panel as a "yes" and automatically schedule the update.

So fans of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (or KOTOR) have gotten together to make a FREE remaster of the game (you have to own the original game first though) available to all fans. In the vg247 source above, you can see the first gameplay footage recorded by youtuber MrMattyPlays.
I for one am super excited. I'm a long time fan of KOTOR and have been wanting a third installment for years. This, of course, isn't that third installment, but it is going to be helping KOTOR get up to date with graphics, being built on the relatively new Unreal Engine 4. In the quote above, they also say many new features are going to be added.
KOTOR 2 was just recently updated on Steam to support both community mods as well as achievements, and now the original KOTOR gets a fan-made update. And judging by the gameplay footage, they're doing a great job. I honestly cannot wait.
Any KOTOR fans on the forum? Discuss below what you think about this! Also, the developers of the remaster are not accepting donations yet, but they say they will soon. I'll probably be one of the first to pledge
EDIT: I tried searching the forum efficiently, and only after I posted it did I find another post by @DevilishBooster. Feel free to lock/merge/whatever this post Mods, or consider this the "New Gameplay" update as the original post did not have gameplay.
