  1. I charge my customers with 10 euro's per hour (sometimes 15 if they were a pain in the ass hehe) which is fair considering the nearest shop does it for 20 euro's an hour, and they charge them extra for random stuff. But it all comes down to what you did, since you did a shit ton of things for this person and it took a whole day you can easily charge them let's say 80 euro's for labour... And explain what you all did, if you just give it and say "that's 80 euro's for labour", you got to justify that 80 and make it look like you earned that 80 euro's.
  2. Can you verify if you have os-prober installed? This searches for other OSs on the system. grub-install --target=i386-pc /dev/sdx Or grub-update whatever you feel more comfortable with...

    I NEED HELP

No, Windows 10 automatically detects the key on your motherboard during installation. (if you bought it pre-build)
  4. Been a while since I debugged that on Debian but I think I fixed it by doing: sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get update And then sudo apt-get -f Then try again.
  5. Sorry it's at C:\Windows\ntbtlog.txt And the OS boot information is weird I don't know if they removed it or edited it in windows 10 but it doesn't matter that much as long as you have the ntbtlog.txt
  6. start menu>msconfig>select the "Boot" tab>tick the box that says "Boot Log" and "OS boot information". "Boot log" will create a log file in I believe C:\nbtlog.txt "OS boot information" Will look scary, nah it displays what it's loading to your screen instead of a fancy animation. Do post where the OS boot information hangs for a while and your bootlog.
  7. It really seems like Iris isn't much adapted tbh... For now your best bet would be the XPS 13 but it doesn't hurt to wait a while to see if the price drops and if something new hits the market. (btw the XPS 13 is a tad cheaper in NL(https://www.afuture.nl/productview.php?productID=4679502) and deliver for free in BE as well) And well, the i7 version of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has Iris but I don't think that thing is made to game on...
  8. Hiya! Have you tried looking for one on tweakers.be? http://tweakers.net/categorie/496/laptops/producten/ in the left sidebar you can configure it to your liking. Also all of the prices are the cheapest, do double check if you see the belgium flag in the top right corner for the correct stores to pop-up. And I see they have 7 laptops on their site with Intel Iris under 1200 euro.
  9. This will answer most of your questions. (also nice desktop steeze ;))
  10. A custom recovery! I'm not sure about legal things here though but I think this will void it... https://twrp.me/devices/huaweinexus6p.html A great guide on how to install: http://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/ If you've finally installed it, boot into TWRP then Backup and backup "Data, System, Boot"
  11. Definently a Tesla, fast, electric, actually getting money for it, and dem gadgets...
  12. CentOS is a server OS, it's aimed at webdevelopers and server and shouldn't be used as a daily driver. (read: https://www.centos.org/about/ "The CentOS Project") also even if it's your intent to use it as a server please do not use it yet, they're completely redesigning it and renaming things now so you'll basically have to learn it all over again in a few months. You should definitely go for Ubuntu or Mint or even Manjaro, most distro's nowadays come with a GUI (except for the odd one out like Arch and server distro's) . Als if you're new to linux read this topic:
  13. From a quick google search these are all related to drivers. Go to this link: https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-GL552VW/HelpDesk_Download/ select your OS then utilities>ASUS live update utility, this wil searh for driver updates.
  14. XDA-Developers.com is the site for anything android(imo) http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite But it seems your phone doesn't (yet) have a ROM available...
  15. Tweakers compares the price and also has user reviews, they also have a build builder (lol) where you can make your entire build (requires a account)and it'll get a total price of the cheapest shops. So you might even be able to get an better CPU and a fan!
  16. Hey did you use tweakers.net to find the best price? It's a very good site for building a PC and general information. Anyways I would ditch the cooler and get the better CPU, my stock cooler gave up after ~2 years of daily use, so by then you have saved up enough to get a good CPU fan. And the temps aren't even that bad, around the ~70 degrees under full load for me.
  17. Manjaro, I mostly use htop. But I run XFCE so we have, XFCE Task manager.
  18. Awesome guide! But i'm missing some sort of task manager, like htop. And maybe give some general directions on where you can find the task manager in most DEs?
  19. Do ctrl+alt+f1, this will bring you to TTY1 your default one is 7(ctrl+alt+f7 to switch back) And once you are in the terminal, login and then execute what @RedWulfsuggested in his first post.
  20. F12>press and hold on the reload button next to the URL bar>a small menu selection will pop-up select the lowest one "Empty cache and hard reload". Try that.
  21. Do not dedicate an entire 64gb drive to FreeNAS, run it off of an USB3.0 stick and plug it into an USB 3.0 port. FreeNAS will NOT use any space on that drive for anything besides itself, so do what they tell you and run it off of an USB. I've placed a freenas in a semi-big company (20-50 employees) and I dont feel any lag or hiccups. Also install FreeNAS in an VM before using it to get an feeling of how to use it.
  22. What are your temps? Keep an eye on your temperatures next time you play a game, use MSI Afterburner.
  23. Well I get past security with a laptop in my bag all the time, I guess if you can prove that it isn't a bomb you're okay.
