  1. Turns out, Titan Xp's are really cheap on the used market right now! Scored one on eBay last week for $250! The 780Ti had a good run (9 years is a LONG time for a GPU to be in service), but the Titan Xp is on another level. Hopefully this card lasts until 2027.

  2. Just upgraded from 3TB of JBOD to 6TB of RAID1. Couldn't be happier with the end result, the array is faster than the old setup, and I can sleep well at night knowing my data is safer. Big thanks to my friend who sold me a couple of his old 6TB WD Red Pro server drives on the cheap.

  3. *UPDATE* Recently, I was able to solve the issue by updating the firmware and wifi settings within a single update package (there are different options for updates on the GoPro website). This allowed me to reset the wifi password and finally fully unlock my GoPro that I bought used back when I originally made this post. Looks like the combined update wasn't working during my first go-around with this issue, but the GoPro website should be working now. Just posting this follow-up so I can mark solved
  4. My windforce R9 270 that I've had for the past 5 years died a couple days ago? was a solid card that I will miss.......luckily I have a 780ti in the mail.....stuck with a 550ti until it arrives ?

RIP...I had a Windforce R9 270X that I ended up gifting to my brother-in-law for an entry level PC and it's still going strong.

  5. Wow, I haven't logged in here in a real long time.........I'm not dead, its been a couple years..........?

  6. So, I recently got a used gopro hero 3+ black edition, it was working great until I tried to connect it to my phone via the capture app. So I tried to reset and give it a new password it via the instructions on gopro's website. I made sure that the name and password I used was compliant. I got the update folder on the micro sd and put it into the gopro. When I turned it on it fired up as usual like the sd card wasn't even in it, it didn't automatically update. I was however able to get the firmware updated by choosing to update the firmware only. I had tried the option to update the firmware and wifi together as per the option on gopros website but every time I tried this option the download folder button was greyed out. I have looked around a bunch trying things that other people tried. I tried using multiple different micro sd cards, formatting them in windows and within the gopro itself. Even the password given to me by the previous owner didn't work.
  7. your CPU and your motherboard are un-capable of overclocking, a 4790k or a 4770k(the 4770k isn't much worse in performance than the 4790k) paired with a z97 motherboard is a good overclockable combo only with a good cooler
  8. Do you have multiple pcie slots? if yes move the card around, addtionally there should also be a setting in the bios to disable the igpu What power supply do you have? and is your bios up to date?
  9. Malwarebytes and spyhunter5(dont give spyhunter money, it tells you the registry and file locations of the infections so you can do it manually)
  10. https://www.neweggbusiness.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9B-13-128-868&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleBiz-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleBiz-PC-_-pla-_-Motherboards+-+Intel-_-9B-13-128-868&gclid=CjwKEAiAmJvBBRDKpP724LigwngSJAAYRJXBvVmQExO_HSssziOvtzF62cHIE1Fe49L0uKIiCYVxNhoCUGvw_wcB this looks like a solid option
