    DDU GPU drivers and reinstall the latest ones.

    That CPU could live if the pins are bent back. Even if one or two break there is a chance it will live if they are VCC or GND pins or it might work with one dead memory chanel or something. That's at least my experience with fixing bent pins on chips and in sockets.

    Internet people will not give you the answers or insight you need. Seek professional help. By the time you realise you are suicidal you are already well into needing something an internet forum cant provide. Im sorry but a trained professional can help you a million times better than anyone else.

    without my glasses i can almost not tell a difference between 1080p and 480p on my phone but thats about the only time ill accept bellow 1080p content generally. On data caps 480p can be fine too

    1: the smell of burnt electronics tends to linger for quite a while 3: CPU might have taken some damage resulting in a reduced life span but I'd run it until it fails personally. No good way of knowing if it's been damaged in any way or not so I wouldn't worry about it unless you notice it acting up

    I've wanted to try it out for some time now, triple screens should be a bit nicer with it but I haven't and I don't see myself messing around with my desktops config for a while. Im running Manjaro Cinnamon rn

    You know, sometimes what matters more is that you do what you want to and not whats probably the smart move. There can be a million reasons not too do whatever thing and just one that makes it worth it, and thats wanting to do it. Basically i bought another motorbike Does it run? Nope Is it in good condition? Not really Does it hurt you? Yes Is it modified? A bunch Is it fall and i need to keep it over winter costing me a bunch of money? Yes Have i wanted this exact bike for like two and a half years now? Yes.

    Oh damn the carnage of the 5000 launch, i didnt think it was gona be THAT good :D Hope Intel can get on par and that we have some back and forth competition now!

     

    Also, still no plan on swapping out the 4790K lol, CPUs havent improved enough yet 👀

    .... Its been so damn long since i opened my waterloop for maintnance..... uuuu.... i should probably get on that huh... Well the Ncore looks like its gona ship this year so ill hold out for that like planned.

     

    I was gona do loop maintnance and uppgrades when i got that, and its now been two and a half years since i bacled it 😬 Whoops

    For games? Single big boi. For other things, there might be scenarios where two 1080s end up better than a 2080 for compute I guess? But it depends a lot on the workload and if it scales at all with multi gpu. The safe answer is generally one fast over two slower.

    Is that a GTX 980, if so then you can probably run most things just at far from max settings. If that's a 9800 GTX then you might hit some walls because of APIs and other features that that old card dosnt support

    Wrong GT, this is a kawasaki bbut yah it feels unnecessary to buy a €70 gasket but I'm also not finding anywhere that will ship me gasket materials(not that I've looked all that hard tbh) and the store that has it is too far away to reasonably drive too on my moped lol
