    IIRC he has old pcie card and old ram, where he inserts and takes it out about 20 times or so to get rid of the paint in the connectors

    i'd go haswell. from amazon UK its only £10 more and you would be making your pc last maybe a year or two longer imo without a cpu upgrade.
