Yep for when i get a good multicore chip again and balls to bench it. Should go well with my incoming X58 Rampage II Extreme for 1366/500 series competitions.

This one was already binned by someone and I got it in a trade. It cold bugs in the -30's so a SS phase is almost a must for binning if they are all like this. I had to unplug the cooler when at low voltage for about 10sec to post. Not an expert on these so I can't really help. Generally I bin all my chips on phase and shoot for passing Pifast and CB2003 as quick tests before moving higher then fine tune when i can't go up 50-100MHz after trying both small and large jumps in voltage higher and lower than last successful test. I test only cold because I have a few air gods that really sucked compared to "lottery losers" on ambient cooling when took to low temps.

Have to wait for a Win7/64 install to do R15 @iamdarkyoshi gave me a bunch of pentium and celeron so maybe one of those is better.

It lists Pentium 4/D on specs https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RAMPAGE_FORMULA/specifications/ and tt has celly listed https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/1444/asus_rampage_formula_x48_motherboard/index2.html The mllrkllr just used one with a 352 as well.

Maybe It did 6.2/dice on a Commando in the past so I'mma see how she does on an X48 Rampage Formula.

General Intel HEDT Xeon/i7 Discussion
dexT replied to Zando_'s topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
If running benchmarks competitively fast RAM is very important. Compare my score and speed with the others and look at how the score gap scales between 1st - 2nd - 3rd and their respective clock speeds(I'm knock BTW) http://hwbot.org/benchmark/hwbot_x265_benchmark_-_1080p/rankings?hardwareTypeId=processor_1652&cores=2#start=0#interval=20 I know how to tweak an OS and benchmark but I blew those people out of the water completely. -

These are 2GB each modules so not the best for a modern daily driver but they are really fast esp on X58. Dominator GT Ver2.1 are rare and sought after for benchmarking so these come with a price premium. -

I was thinking of selling a triple kit before I got the X58 board and still might, will post here first if I do. These and sticks with Hypers are some of the best modules for x58/48 and p45/55 that OC super high with really tight timings, as good as the Dom GTX in some cases. Better than the 2000 C8 GT as those won't run C7 sometimes but 1866 C7 sticks will run 2000 C7. -

What RAM are people using? I've got Dominator GT 1866 C7 Ver2.1 using the rare Elpida Hyper ICs. Only going to run 3 or 1 sticks depending on the bench but have 6 to bin -

The 65g tube of MX-2 is the best deal. $26 USD here. Working out fine with phase or dry ice even. -

It's looks nice but there's something about those earlier ROG boards, the three I listed, that's just gorgeous. I'm hoping the REX 1 NB block fits REX 2 for some chilled water action. -

Cool give I'll it a look. Probably a better board than mine lol I just went for this because of aesthetics and price also to complete the set.. X48 Rampage Extreme - P45 Maximus II Formula and now this. I love how these boards look(my REX I is dead tho) Do you know the quad with highest multiplier available to use? I use sub-zero cooling only. -

I'm back on X58 so what's the highest overclocking Xeon that's under $20? I need a i7 920 and 980X for hwbot points but I want some Xeons for fun just bought this -

It was pitiful. He used a brand new, top of the line SS but in his mind he was using an air cooler so he got air cooler results. -
LGA771 to LGA775 - Best CPU for my Mobo
dexT replied to Lean18's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
X5482 or Q9500 quads are the best for that price. Edit: I have a few E8600 and they're the best 775 clockers. -
Me? http://hwbot.org/user/knock/ My latest benches haven't had points given yet so be much higher ranked.

Best deal on non-conductive paste is the 65g tube of MX-2 for $26. The actual best non-conductive paste is TG Kryonaut.

Silver is below it's mining cost as of late so now would be the time for a run of special edition coolers. Shoot, Aqua Computer always has a silver waterblock in their lineup.
