  1. Keep an eye on the X2HR, they usually go on sale on Amazon, depending your country. A few weeks ago the X2HR was on sale for €89 which is an absolute steal. Comfort and sound quality simply cannot be beaten at that price.
  2. Last week the X2HR was €89 on Amazon EU which is an absolute steal! I couldn't resist so I bought another pair. One pair as reserve and other for playing with like trying the X2HR earpads on my Amiron Home for example. But damn, the OEM X2HR earpads are the best ever made! So beautiful velours, so soft an comfy. To the topic creator, i'm not a fan of Sennheiser either but you'll likely rebuy the 9600. That's what I would do if my current headphones will break.
  3. That's so me too! The notes are like mathematical chinese gibberish to me, I never could understand them. Now fast forward to present, I just can't understand the audio visual graphs and if I'm correct, they are also called FR. So a super highly evolved intelligent human can read how the highs and lows are lol. Anyway, audio is personally meant to enjoy and not to be a scientist.
  4. I could not care less about the E3 anymore. Games are full of bugs and performance issues and also full of microtransactions nonsense. And sometimes games shown at E3 look and are different when they are released.
  5. The first one regarding turning the room into audio is not really my place, I don't have much knowledge But where we live, we can't have any of that because of noise disturbance for neighbours. And yes, the DT series are like tanks. You can step on them, you can drive on them, you can kick them to the moon or Mars and when they're back, they will still work lol. You can replace everything, you can change everything. I'll be posting screens of my Amiron Home with before and after pictures. I'll also make photos of the service parts so you'll see how they look. It's pretty fun to play around.
  6. You don't have to be an audiophile to enjoy audio. Audio has been my hobby because I do enjoy great audio quality and I don't even use my headphones for music. I use them for everything like for gaming, movies, series, YT, for everything. I am an audio-enthusiast Soon I'll be modding my Amiron Home, stock look is a bit boring so I'll change them a bit. What I like about Beyerdynamic is that you can change the headband, earpads, system bows and sliders. I refurbished my T90 with DT1770 sliders and DT770 system bow AND Tygr headband lol. Keep us updated how you like your DT770, I hope you'll enjoy them!
  7. Gaming headsets are poop, regardless what people say they are good. No, they are not. Comfort can be terrible, materials are damn cheap so they break easy and most of them look silly. If noise is an issue, then definitely the DT770 80ohm. They are like tanks, very sturdy and harder to kill. Comfort is very good too.
  8. More comfortable headphones: Beyerdynamic Tygr DT880 600ohm Fidelio X2HR We don't know your budget but the Meze 109 Pro is very comfortable at excellence level.
  9. Beyerdynamic has gaming headsets and Beyerdynamic is known for excellent sound and build quality. What about Team Tygr? If i'm correct, there are mics that you can attach to headphones, the Boom Mic Pro I think.
  10. The reviewers are not at their fault, it's just you. You just love to whine like a spoiled brat. You're only limiting yourself to headsets and for what exactly? I do buy headphones before I listen to them the first time but that's because I know I'll likely love this headphone. And I know what I seek in a headphone. Great headphones under $200: Beyerdynamic Tygr Fidelio X2HR DT880 600ohm @Tigerleoncan list another good headphone, it's from Hifiman which he reviewed.
  11. Well, you wanted an expensive headphone that sounds great so I don't see any issue? The $62,000 is indeed a bit too much so I recommend the one that costs $7000 so you can enjoy audio.
  12. There are other great headphones that sounds very good: ATH-W2022 Spirit Torino Valkyrie Sennheiser HE-1 HiFiMan Susvara
  13. They look silly and some looks like christmas tree made to be weared on head. Others looks like some futuristic spaceship. Sound quality is not good either.
  14. Any reason why you make such bold statement? There are very affordable headphones that beats the "gaming headsets". A serious question, did you create this topic to let everyone know that you don't trust? Gaming headphones are pure trash, that's a fact. So what do you want us to do now?
  15. The HD560S and DT770 80ohm both sounds very different from other each other, nothing sounds similar. The DT770 has a wider soundstage than the HD560S and I owned the HD560S, the biggest regret I ever made. The DT770 80ohm is very easy to drive, yes. It can get very loud on mobile devices. Don't worry about that.
  16. @PsittacI don't know this GoXLR thing but Amiron Home is efficient and easy to drive despite it being 250ohm. DT series on the other hand are harder to drive, yes.
  17. Regarding Sennheiser, I'm afraid I can't help with that. I had the HD560S and this was the most boring, lifeless and fatiguing headphone I ever had. Soundstage is very narrow and bass is just not that great.
  18. Then it would be the Amiron Home as the Tygr is a bassier headphone. This brand has been my favorite because they got headphones that are specific use like bass, studio, treble, comfort and so on. You can see that in my sig lol. But you can't go wrong with all 3 of them. The Amiron Home has a very laidback sound signature that are easy on the ears and yet they give a cinematic sound.
  19. Okay, and do you want more bass or neutral? For gaming I can recommend the Beyerdynamic Tygr or Amiron Home. The latter is a bit more expensive but it sounds very good. I own them both. For neutral, perhaps the DT880 600ohm. Though the DT880 and Amiron Home are both very underrated but they sound very good.
  20. The first important question: what do you seek in headphones? Immersive audio for gaming and movies or critical listening?
  21. Not sure on the 250ohm version but according to reviews, the highs are a bit sharper and fatiguing. I had the 250ohm version about almost 3 years ago and I didn't like it because it fatigues quickly. If you already love your DT770 80ohm, go for it. But what about replacing the worn-out parts like the earpads and headband? Beyerdynamic provides a wide range of service parts. You can use the Tygr headband for example, also Tygr earpads or DT880 headband for example. You can make your worn-out DT770 into a new DT770.
  22. DT770 80ohm is very easy to run off of mobile devices for example. I have it and it doesn't need a lot of power.
  23. I vote Tygr. It's an excellent headphone for gaming, movies and music. Treble is very smooth and sibilance is silky smooth too. Comfort is excellent too. The 990 is very sharp and not everyone can bear that.
  24. Volume knobs are also much more convenience to use. My keyboard does have mediakeys but at night or dimmed room lights they're just too hard to see and also not quick as reaching out to volume knob.
