  2. 100watts ? really? from that tiny connector? I can power my screen and some external hdd with one usb cable? WUT?
  3. I know that. I said that they should of used another charge indicator becouse this one looks stupid
  4. remember that it can also run passivly...
  5. please change that cyrcle thing. the black bar ruins it.
  6. Hello guys! I want to make a small app for android but I want it to do specific things. I am building my own smartwatch and its being controlled by an arduino. Now I can programm the arduino just fine and it does what I want it to do, but my problem is that I want it to communicate with my android smartphone too. I want to make an app that can read, store and then send system notifications to the watch. I also want it to send the time for syncing the watch in the unix style. I have never developed for android and I only know some basic C. I would really apreciate it if you guys can point me to the right direction. All i want is to collect every single notification from my phone and send it over bluetooth to the watch. I was also thinking about controlling the music app on the phone using the watch. searching around at googles libraries I think it is not too hard. Thanks
  7. 20/20 so far I will see what spending all my day in front of a monitor does in the future i guess
  8. received the battery and placed and soldered the bluetooth module on top of the arduino. the 4 buttons, a temporary charge connector and an high power led from an led strip.
  9. Just made this case for it. Looks very similar to the pebble
  10. haha I think I have to finish the hardware and software side first before making a case. Thanks for the idea If I make a business out of it (I know I wont ) I will have your name printed on the bottom of the watch
  11. Haha in my mind it will work and based on some 3d modeling of everything I did some time ago, it should be small enough for a watch. I still havnt even figured out the full hardware and software side nevermind the case I was thinking about 3d printing one but then I remembered that I dont have a 3d printer Here is the one I made based on the real diamentions of everything and I believe in the end it will look something like his:
  12. I have seen other peolple usinf this bluetooth module and could connect to it from theri phones and send data back and forth so in theory it will work. I havent tried it by my self yet though thanks!
  13. So I really like the idea of smartwaches and I believe they can be useful. The market is exploding with new smartwaches every day with more features and sensors and stuff. But they all cost a lot of money. So I decided to make my own smartwatch. I am not the first one to make such a watch but I am making and programming mine from the ground up. It might look like a stupid idea but I think it will work. I will be using an arduino pro mini as the brain. It will communicate with my pc or smartphone with a bluetooth module. The display is going to be a 0.96" OLED from ebay and everything will be powered by a LiPo battery. I have already ordered and received most of the stuff I need and I am making good progress. I connected the arduino with the oled screen and was able to program the arduino to display time and date, bitmap photos, a menu controlled by 4 buttons and notification using serial communication. I believe the biggest problem will be programming the arduino to do everything I want it to do. If people here are interested I will keep posting updates about my progress. Here is just a photo of all the things I have right now. Arduino with programmer and bluetooth module and an micro sd card for size comparison And a photo of the tiny little screen displaying some random time and date and an icon of an alarm just for testing.
  14. I really like the price of it. JK. /seewhatididthere I like its screen and screen back with that brushed aluminum it looks sexy.
