    When it came out a single titan X got 60 fps on 1080p. The new patches have not helped that much . It really doesnt look that great for how poorly it runs.

    Good alternative to the 980 no doubt. The gtx 980 is about 520 dollars now and this at 550 had better results in almost every game. Good value honestly.

    People the company name will still be logitech in the near future. Logi is just a brand used for other projects. Can the people on this forum do some research before getting on the bandwagon?

    Not true at all. Just saw a logitech rep on reddit saying its only a new brand . Its not gonna replace the old logitech brand. You people need to calm down and check the facts first.

    Does it matter that its a refresh with tweaked bios , drivers and power consumption? Its arguably better value than the 970 which is nvidias product at the same price. Slightly better performance even when overclocked ( to be fair if you can do 1500 mhz instead of the 1420 or 1440 mhz on the video you can match them). Same price , and you get a bigger bus ( 512 bit) and double the VRAM which is always never bad and will be useful even now at 1440p+ , not to mention VRAM requirements increase year after year so having a 8 GB safe zone is pretty good. We know from 290x 8 GB reviews that the card can actually fully use the 8 GB of VRAM . Linus used a 8 GB 290x on one of his videos ( I think it was the 12 k setup).     I was disapointed as well but not that much surprised. The 200 serioes was all rebrands except the 290 and 290x and later the 285. The 300 cards are refreshes except the fury nano , fury and fury X. Even thought they are refreshes they still perform great for the price range. IIn terms of price/performance and value these rebrands are actually better than the fury X which failed against the 980 TI .

    I dont remeber the outcry when gtx 770 came out ( which is a rebrand not even a refresh). NVIDIA did TONS of rebranding also on lower end cards . Nor do i remeber the outcry when the haswell refresh came out. I mean this card is pretty good for the price even thought it is a refresh. So it performs about the same as the gtx 970 at 1080p , and slightly better at higher resolutions. The price is also very close but can differ depending on the country. In newegg the 390 is cheaper. BUT , and this is relevant the 390 has 8 GB of VRAM in a 512 bit BUS which can use it. This amount of VRAM is only irrelevant at 1080p and in a couple years will be very handy in all resolutions. As it stands its great for 1440P and 4k ( crossfire). Having a large buffer is always great. GDDR5 is not cheap. So yeah I would say in this segment seeing what i saw in the video the gtx 390 is better value.

    The fury X is a bit disappointing at launch. They need to sort out drivers and let people oc the core more. As it stands the 980 TI is a better option because it simply performs better , has more memory , can OC more. I am disappoint AMD.

      Hmm. So AMD released a currently-competitive card with plenty of room for growth with new driver releases and tweaks to the reference boards? In other words, they "disappointingly screwed up". I think I'm getting the hang of this!

      I wish both AMD and nVidia would clean house, honestly. But at least AMD seems to be doing so, albeit slowly.

    I use 6 GB. Its enough even for gta V and stuff . But dont expect to have 50 tabs open on the background at the same time,.

    What is the point of buying the new gpus opposed to getting a cheaper / used 290x ( or equivalent card). Sigh. The only non rebranded cards are the flagships . The same thing happened with the 2xx series , BUT in the 2xx series they lowered the price somewhat and made it somewhat compelling .

    I will believe it when I see it. You cant push the graphics over the designed limit on the xbox one , and you cant do crazy ENB and texture mods. Even if its true dont try to make it like its the same thing because it isnt.
