  1. I am trying to download the PC version of Forza. When I originally downloaded and installed it, it was to the HDD. Now with Win10 you can move a installed program to another directory, like a SSD. I was experiencing some performance issues with the game so I relocated the game to my SSD and waited for it to finish transferring. After it was done I started the game up and played. I still notice the game stuttering and skipping frames. When I ALT-Tab out of the game and look at Task Manager, it showed the HDD at 100% disk utilization. I gave up thinking a few weeks from now the game will have been patched. That brings me to today, I try and reinstall the game to the HDD. Unfortunately the Windows Store has been given me an error code that I can not find anything about. The error code is: 0x80242021. I was tried running wsreset.exe as admin, runnnig CCleaner, but nothing has worked. Has anyone having problems installing programs from the Windows Store? Has anyone experienced this problem? EDIT: I looks like I cannot install any apps from the Windows Store. Even apps like Facebook and Minesweeper will not work, giving me the same error.
  2. As a owner of a G-SHOCK, I doubt it is huge
  3. Thanks for the advice. At the moment I am hosting a couple of VMs are a normal desktop. My goal with the lab is to provide an environment that would be more similar to one found in a business. I have always loved browsing r/homelab, which has given me the idea of doing something like this. The server would not be powered on 24/7 unless I find a scenario that might required it, but then it might be on for only a couple of days. As far as network infrastructure goes a have a eye on some older Cisco routers and switches that a friend is selling. They are only 10/100, but I think they will be fine for the beginning.
  4. I have checked out Ebay, but most of the listings I have seen are from the USA. I don't know if it is worth the hassle since duty/import tax can be a pain in the ass to deal with. Gotta love UPS. As far as locally goes, no one in my area is selling gear like this. And if they are, it is a server that is running DDR2 ram for $700 What is bad about WIX? I don't have experience with any website hosting companies. One of the professors bought 2 R710 from these guys. And he didn't have a bad experience with them, and he believes they are decently priced.
  5. I am a college student studying Network Engineering, and was wondering if anyone in Canada has dealt with http://canadaserver.wix.com/canadaserver My goal is to pick up a couple of servers and set up a lab environment where I can test different things. Primarily they will be a Virtualization cluster, I have not decided if I will go Hyper-V server or ESXi. The question is has anyone dealt with this company? I have thought about building it my self with normal consumer orientated gear, but I don't know if I can compete with the price. Is there something that I am forgetting to consider? I have thought about the noise and am leaning towards the Dell's R710 over a 2950. Is there anyone in the community either with a Homelab that has any advice? Thanks for the help!!
  6. If you want ridiculous, go for this ASUS router. It only has 8 external antennas https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC5300/
  7. That's nice. I wonder what the price point would be, maybe around 50$USD.
  8. With a brief glance at what Ubiquiti has to offer, I am leaning more to use one of there new AC products. And just plugging it into my ISP provided router. Granted would have to get a PoE injector.
  9. Isn't Hyper-V a Type 1 hypervisor and that would make any VMs be at the same level as the host OS (Both at Ring 0) as far as hardware access goes. And wouldn't that would make the Nested VM almost like a Type 2 hypervisor?
  10. My guess is that it will be over 500$ USD. At least that is what I gather from the specs. I would be surprised if it was lower than that. (And $499 doesn't count)
  11. I was thinking of the same thing or maybe get a Moto X play. Isn't the 4GB RAM version have 64GB of storage?
  12. Like most people here I have a free year, but I am not using it. Most of the channels I watch are not all on Vessel. So when I check to see if there are new videos I don't want to go to 2 places.
  13. I would have to choose that 4k video! That has to be the coolest feature
  14. Holy crap!! I looked at their webpage and they offer 500 Mbit/s for $100 dang son!
  15. Man I am out of the loop if this is now considered normal pricing. I always thought SSDs were priced around .50 $/gb
