  1. Couple errors I noticed: @3:25 Your reddit build states 16GB in the voice over but the label shows 32GB. Idk if this was already caught. @11:01 the label says Corsair RMe power supply but the video shows a Seasonic PSU
  2. Looks like the fins are also beyond the threshold, but difficult to tell with the angle. Ideally you'd get away with just drilling out holes to accommodate the heat pipes. I'd use nail polish or acrylic paint to dab the ends of the heatpipes, place the panel back on as carefully as possible to mark the areas where the heatpipes are in contact, then drill baby. If it STILL doesn't fit, I'd use a hole saw or rotary tool to cut out a circle to accommodate the area. Then use a speaker grill to dress up the hole and provide some dust filtration. Something like I've done to an old front panel (see attached).
  3. I see your case has vertical GPU mount, so are you vertically mounting with a riser cable or traditional horizontally mounting? If you're vertically mounting, are you using the official Corsair PCIe extension cable or something else? What PCIe gen is the cable rated for? If you are using a PCIe Gen 3.0 riser cable, then I had a similar issue moving from a RTX 2070 to RTX 3060 Ti. It turned out to be an issue with my Phanteks PCIe 3.0 riser cable and B550 motherboard weren't agreeing on the correct PCIe generation. Went into the UEFI and found that the PCIe slot's PCIe gen was set to "Auto," so I switched it to "Gen3" since that's what the riser cable was rated for, rebooted, and display worked from there on. If you suspect the same thing, you can either slot the 6950 XT directly into the PCIe slot without the riser, access your UEFI and change the PCIe gen from "auto" to "Gen3," then reinstall your riser. Or alternatively, switch back to the 1660 Ti on the riser, and do the same UEFI configuration change.
  4. Since this next generation of video cards are expected to be more physically monstrous than ever, it got me thinking... what if LTT built a SBC-like PC and harvested a GPU cooler to cool it? Basically imagine an entire custom desktop "gaming" PC that almost looks like it's just a video card. Thinking something like the Khadas Edge 2, then harvesting or machining a I/O shield, backplate, and heatsink to be compatible with a cooler off a current/last gen video card. Extra points if you get the RGB to actually work. For those more visually inclined:

  6. I think it will be uncomfortable for you, especially if you're not used to a claw grip. I tried a variety of mice after my G602 bit the dust, which was a perfect size for my hand too (just under 8" from middle finger to palm). The G502 is my current daily driver (hair too small for me), but I also tested a G203, which has basically identical dimensions to the G305, and it forced my hand into an uncomfortable claw grip. Only reason I don't use a G604 is because I actually prefer the 3 thumb buttons versus 6 thumb buttons.

  8. As above, but a simple trick I use to keep track of the screws: Lay the video card on a blank sheet of paper, then trace around your video card to create an outline. Then flip it so the I/O plate is on the sheet, and trace that on a blank space. Repeat this as needed for each side of the shroud if you anticipate screws there. Next take note of where eat screw is located on the back plate, then draw circles corresponding to each of those spots on your sketch. Now as you physically remove the screws from the video card, you can place them into their corresponding circles on your reference outline/s to keep track of them. Take care not to bump your reference sheet or the little suckers will start to roll away. Yes, this is basically a poor man's mod mat.
  9. In my experience 550W is more than enough for a RTX 3070. In fact, it's what Guru3D recommends. Personally, I've been running my 550W Seasonic Prime Ultra for the last 2+ years on a RTX 3070 Founders. My meter at the outlet read 405W at full-tilt (100% load on GPU and CPU), including 1 of my displays, 1x M.2 SSD, 3x SATA SSDs, 1x SSHD, and 5 fans. This was on a 5600X and RTX 3070 Founders simultaneously running the stress tests in OCCT and Furmark.
  10. If you're gaming at 1080P or 1440P, then consider maxing out what your board can currently handle. Personally, I'd take a long hard look at some used Ryzen 3700X, 3800X, etc. I'm seeing used Ryzen 7 3700X in the $170 range, which would allow you to push a platform upgrade out for another year or 2. If you have the scratch, then the above 12th-gen Intel platform is a solid rec. You likely don't need to upgrade your PSU for the GPUs you've mentioned. I'm running a Seasonic Prime Ultra 550W Gold PSU and ran the gamut of RTX 2070, 2070 Super, 3060 Ti, and 3070 FE just fine.
  11. I always eventually get some sort of fraying on the edges with cloth pads, meanwhile I've had a Steel Series 4HD hard mousepad that looks and feels the same as the day I bought it back in 2013. These things are so indestructible I bought another one for work and one for my wife.
  12. Correct, this is most often referred to as the videocard's height. Sometimes this is also conveyed in terms of how many expansion "slots" it will occupy. E.g. an Asus RTX 3060 Ti STRIX occupies 2.9 slots.

  14. Can try tuning your current DDR4-3200 kit with the help of the Ryzen DRAM Calculator and Thaiphoon. I wouldn't bother moving to DDR-3600 or higher if I were you unless you could essentially get it for free (e.g. selling your 3200 kit to offset the cost of the 3600 kit).
  15. Gigabyte markets this as "3D Active fan " where the fans will not spun up while idling or under light use. Like spidey said, this is usually whenever under 50-60C, and its by design.
  16. That looks like the WiFi device, you snapped one of the antenna connections.
  17. That looks like it may be Nvidia Shadowplay / Highlights usage. Open up GeForce Experience and turn-off recording and highlights and see if that reduces/eliminates that process' disk usage.
  18. I'd start with a custom fan curve before I'd consider popping the lid and re-pasting. Asus GPU Tweak II (please check to see if it's compatible with Maxwell first) is pretty decent for setting a custom fan curve, but even maxing out at 75C at full load isn't anything to worry about on a GTX 970.
  19. Since you're able to get into the BIOS at least, can you try rolling back to the previous BIOS version?
  20. 1. Delete the existing partition. 2. Then click the "New" button, and it should create a new GPT partition.
  21. Yes it will fit. The Dark Rock 4 height is 159mm and the Asus GT301 supports up to 160mm. The Dark Rock Pro 4 is 163mm high, so it most likely will not fit in that case.
  22. If they're the same price and both are available, I'd go with the 3070 Ti FE. Maybe 5-10% on average in gaming work loads.
