I don't see this taking off. Clocking an i5 higher and giving it hyperthreading hardly appeals to me to buy these 'new' chips, just seems like we're already being thrown kaby lake refresh bullshit.
 
Hope AMD knock a massive amount of the CPU market off Intel, would love to see those price gougers lose stock value.

no one wants a 4k experience like they did with ps4"pro" people just wants to play games simple good looking game that works like the 3ds did. 

What will disappoint me is if it has trouble running Zelda/Mario/Pokemon/Metroid/Star Fox games at 60 FPS and satisfactory levels of quality on the dock, because those are the games that will actually drive a sale for me. It seems pretty unlikely that they will have trouble with those games, but I assure you I am far too sensitive to this stuff to live in denial if they don't run well.
 
I wouldn't want to play most third-party AAA titles on this type of hardware in the first place, I have a nice PC for that. It would be an added bonus if the Switch ends up with a good indie lineup, but its not a deal-breaker if it doesn't.

Couldn't care less so long as it is decent in terms of battery/performance and has good games

Nothing new here, Pascal (and Parker) we're only ever rumoured, never confirmed and its already pretty much confirmed Switch will sit somewhere between XB1 & PS4.

Newegg is a sales vendor, not a technology corporation at the center of vital U.S. security interests. Don't conflate things. I never said U.S. companies would not sell to China. I said those with vital national security interest wouldn't. IBM, Intel, and Nvidia will never be sold to foreign powers. Neither will Microsoft or Apple or Google. The FTC doesn't give a damn about a digital marketplace that doesn't even make up a large minority of tech sales in the U.S. (it's not even 20%). If Amazon gets sold, then it's a problem.

My parents were exactly the same, never ordered anything online, never subscribed to contracts or had massive debts. You have to respect your parents though because they sometimes do know what's best. They shouldn't be buying you games when you want them to, they should do things on their timescales.
 
I didn't have a debit card until I was 16, some of my friends had them at 11 and most had them by 14. After many years, I finally persuaded my parents that this was the right thing and they obliged. After 18, it's your life but until then you have to do what they want you to, if they don't want you to get a debit card then you don't get a debit card. I'm sure you'll show more restraint by the time you're 18 though. Now, I really value the way that my parents brought me up as it's taught me financial restraint and to be more responsible with my own money. I see loads of my friends from school and uni complaining about debts from their own excessive spending, if only their parents had also taught them these valuable lessons. When you're an adult you'll realise that they did these things for a reason.
 
As for the bill payments, it does seem a little excessive, my parents always paid with direct debits (as do I now that I have my own bills). However, it's none of your business how your parents manage their money so I wouldn't be too annoyed about it.

I'll be honest, I am a little disappointed in it.  We were led to believe it was like a GTX 980 and it turns out it can only come close to a 970 in most cases.  If you look at it rationally, it is still a great card for the money, but I can't help but feel a little less positively towards it after the number of things that have come to light recently.
