It will fundamentally work, but you should use actual thermal paste as it's actually been designed for thermal conductance, rather than tasting good.

So, here's my experiences, that I can come to think of now:

    - After I've fixed a computer for a friend or relative, they always blame me for every future problem.
    - Two guys were talking in an MMORPG I used to play, and one of them said that he overclocked his hard drive and his computer is now more than twice as fast.
    - Whenever I tell someone that I like computers and technology, they always assume I just post stuff on Facebook and play Farmville all day long.
    - My mom freak out every time an email from someone she doesn't know, slips through the spam filter and end up in her inbox. Something worth mentioning is that she use hotmail, so she freaks out a lot.

    Edit: fixed the formatting.

Thought it would be fun to make a topic about, all of our experiences with all the people, who doesn't really understand all the tech.
Note: Don't make this too harsh on them. You need to help them, not yell at them.
    I'll go first:
So my mom has a daycare. And one day I am sitting on the floor with my laptop. And one of the kids, with real dirty hands come and put his hand on the screen. Guess he thought it was a touch screen. Still haven't gotten it off, and it was 3 months ago.
My grandmother is scared of getting rid of the computer, because she thinks it will cut the power to her house.

    Hello all,
Thought i should get in early and create a central hub for all us Keyboard enthusiasts to congregate.
For those who don't know what a mechanical keyboard is, here is a quick, very brief outline.

On a regular rubber dome keyboard, ones you generally find in Schools, work places etc, under each key is rubber dome. When pressed, this rubber dome is pressed down, making contact with the underlying membrane, transferring the electrical impulse through the circuitry and thus telling the computer what button has been pressed.
A mechanical keyboard, on the otherhand, doesn't have such a set up. Instead, underneath each key is an individual switch. When pressed, this switch is forced down, connecting the contact and transferring electrical impulse. The advantages of using a mechanical switch are quite strong, firstly it provides a much more tactile and wholesome feedback, good for telling the user when they have actuated the key. This allows the user, when they have got used to it, to type at a much faster rate as they know the feeling of when they have typed a letter, and thus can increase their word count. Also, mechanical keyboards allow for NKRO, or N-key roll over. Basically this means that the user can press down as many keys as they like, the computer will register all the key strokes. With a membrane board, there is a limit.
For a much more in depth talk, check out Linus' video on Mechanical keyboards.
There are many, many switch variants out there. However the ones you are most likely to come across are: Cherry MX switches. These come in a variety of names, denoted by their colour. Each switch feels slightly different, and provides the user with different reasons to use a switch.

Cherry MX Blues: Tactile, clicky. - Good for typing, not so much gaming.
Cherry MX Browns: Tactile, non-clicky. - Good gaming and typing due to their quietness, but still maintaining the tactile feedback (you can feel a bump when you press the key)
Cherry MX Reds: Linear, non-clicky - Good for gaming, similar to Membrane in linear motion; no bump as it's not tactile.
Cherry MX Blacks : Linear, non-clicky. - Similar to MX Reds, slightly heavier

There are many other variants of the Cherry MX line up, however these are the main constituents which filtrate into the mainstream market.

Simply post what Keyboard you're running, what switch type, TKL or not, and any other mods you've done to it.
Here is my Filco Majestouch 2 TKL:

Great and now PC gamers should just STFU and wait. If it came out a month or two ago, unpolished, looking like sh*t and gobbling up more VRAM than Watch Dogs..

Everybody would be b*tching and moaning like crazy. Feeling butthurt and mistreated because 'game developers don't care about the PC master race'.

Hyper212 (The original from 4-5 years ago) with gaps around the contacting heatpipes, not the 212+, not the recent ones.. It's an oldie.
Push Pull, with another High CFM Fan Pushing from the front panel 5.25 bay area, cos it's wasted space as I don't use DVD drives internally.
Worked a treat, 4.9 Without the 3rd fan @ 81*c across all cores with random spikes to 85*c and back down. and then the 3rd Fan brought it down to 78-80*c with spikes to 81-83*c. <-ballpark memory figures
Voltage is the main thing, while I cannot remember specifics, 4.9>5.0 required more than it was worth, but I was going for e-peen bragging rights joining the 5-Jiggahertz Club.

Recently my 2600K died from a Faulty PSU (The original PSU bought at the same time as CPU)
Such a shame, encoding performance on 8 threads with 4 overclocked cores will be missed.
But my (lack of funding) i5 4690 is no slouch

Single graphics card is (almost) always prefered over sli or crossfire, mainly because of compatibility issues.
Also, you can crossfire the 290 later if you got the money.

So news just broke about AMD's new "from scractch" CPU architecture that is going to replace Bulldozer.
The new core has the code name "Zen" and is going to be launched in early 2016 accompanied by the new custom ARM core K12.

Both cores will address servers going up against Skylake but Zen will also go into desktops and notebooks.
This is the core that's going to be powering the next generation of FX CPUs that AMD has been talking about for quite some time now.

Rory Read AMD's CEO also talked about K12, manufacturing process roadmap for the company and next generation GPU and compute cores.

For further detail you can check out the original article.
    Your thoughts ?

UPDATE : A transcript of the event is now available by SeekingAlpha.
You have to register to read the transcript but it's free or you can just read the relavent quotes from AMD's CEO in the original article linked above.
