    I would get a 290x 9/10 times.
     
    Cheaper similar performance , REAL VRAM and a higher bit bus.

    Ya pretty much what you said. I don't think a lawsuit is the cure ... rather I think a boycott is in order. Problem with the boycott is that allot or most of nvidias customers are young kids that don't have the understanding yet cause there brains are not yet fully developed.

    The 960 sucks for the price. The 780 is an awesome GPU that's just barely behind the 970 in performance. This should be no contest as long as the 780 is in proper working order.

    At 1440p or higher resolution, the 290x will perform much much better.
     
    At 1080p the 970 is a cheaper option and will perform pretty much identically.

    I chose nvidia over AMD because I was buying into the 3d vision surround experience
     
    I put my money on the wrong chips. 3dvision sucks. Surround sucks. Nvidias drivers are all over the place atm too. Awesome.

    I got my 6950 over the 570 because it was on sale and I needed triple monitor support.

    Any game at any settings will run at least the same with R9 280. In most cases 280 will be faster, especially with a slight OC to 280X speeds. This while being cheaper then 960 as well.

    Here ya go. The over 3.5GB part starts about halfway through.

    It amazes me how blind people are. It's fine for 1080p play. Go up to higher resolutions and it causes problems when crossing 3.5GB, especially in SLI.
     
    I think at this point it's more about Nvidia lying to everyone that bought the card, but Nvidia fanboys fail to realize that.
     
    Edit: Seeing as how I have two of these cards, it's only right for me as the consumer to warn others about Nvidia's dishonesty about the card, and what problems the card has.
