  1. Past hour
  2. I dont understand, do you already have a case, or is that the only thing you need? Haf XB evo is very old and outdated, compared to newer cases. I would just go with a regular mid tower atx case. But if you really want cube case O11 or similar is the way to go. For Nvidia vs AMD. AMD still don't get the same driver support as Nvidia, but it's ok. I'm pretty happy with my 7900 XT. Coming from 1080ti.
  3. why not? always keep a few barb fittings and soft tubes, to either test card in different configuration or remove it entirely.. and to easier drain, a drain valve at the top and bottom of the loop. i have a stop valve too.. to easier drain each side of the loop.
  4. I think Apple will stop selling the M2 iPad Pros immediately after the event and the new M4 iPad Pros will be available to order by Friday and ship next week. Yeah when I heard about the new SoC (codenamed T8132) my first thought was an M3_on_N3E (i.e. an M3 with the bare minimum adaptations to be manufactured on the new node, which is not IP-compatible with N3B, so they couldn't just "copy and paste") or an "M3X". But then Mark Gurman from Bloomberg grew more and more confident about calling it "M4".
  5. I'm trying to setup my PMS so I can access it when I'm away. I have everything setup on the Plex end (as far as I know), I have remote access enabled and I have a manual port specified to make it easier. The problem is on my router's end, when I go to the port forwarding tab the only option is for IPv6 port forwarding. IPv6 is pretty alien to me so I'm struggling to get it working, especially when on Plex's end it gives me all the details in IPv4. I am able to get the IPv6 address of my NAS that runs my PMS and I'm inputting the correct port but it still says the PMS is not available outside of the network. Do I have to specifiy a source address or can I just say that anything coming in through port 32400 gets forwarded? Also, Plex is showing me the public address that should be forwarded but it's in IPv4 instead of IPv6. Any help would be appreciated because I'm lost.
  6. only if i use tap water. and even if i use tap water and my pipes is copper, i will be fine if i change it fast enough and not let light touch the water. which will be easy if i use black tubing and solid res. and if i want to go professional, i can add some of cch20 clear line. if i change it like once a week i will have a clean rez. i been looking into custom loops and it seems like the maintenance aspect kinda kills it. you spend money on all these expensive parts. ( i like to go all out or not do it at all ) and it gets dirty you gotta open it all up clean it this that. they need to up the game by adding a mini chiller and easy ass maintenance. you need to be able to fully drain the system and refill it in under 5 mins. cuz the gains for regular use isnt worth the headache side question. will silver plating help with the cold plate or no.
  7. Its fine as long as its able to maintain a nice flow. Considering that this pump is fairly big, it might have very high pressure resulting in overall higher flow than the D5 when connected to a watercooling loop. Also flow matter up to a point. See this video as reference:
  8. It's fun when your monitor wakes up after the time you needed to press the button. So I often spam it earlier. Might depend on when RGB keyboards get initialised (or USB) in boot process, but on mine, when it lights up, press the button! Or run shutdown /r /fw /t 0 in Windows to reboot to bios.
  9. Budget (including currency): $50-$150 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 4k 30-60fps Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Ryzen 9 3900x, MSI Gaming X Trio 2080 Super, Corsair Vengance 32GB DDR4, 2x M.2 (1.5tb combined), Elgato internal capture card, 3x HDD for bulk storage (13TB combined). I was honestly just posting to see if anyone had a line on a HAF XB EVO. With all this marketing fluff, and GPUs getting bulkier I just want simplicity. I had one years ago, but donated it to a college student. Also, advice on switching to Team Red would be great. My 2080 Super does fine for the most part.
  10. I'll get some but pretty much only if I manually click the update button after I'm done with most of those I had. It really doesn't want to give anything in advance
  11. Banned because I'm proud of you
  12. The layout without the numpad, but with the separate arrow keys and nav cluster, is an 80% board. The layout with the arrow keys and nav keys squished on the side is a 75% board. There don't seem to be as many 80% boards about as there used to be, or maybe I'm just not looking? Keychron are on a mission to fill every possible niche, so offer a number of 80% boards at different price points.
  13. Prime95 is one piece of software running one instance. It has the control that is not possible through LLR variations. As I mentioned in an earlier post I can only see this happening without BOINC changes is if you issue a container with subtasks in it. But it will come with new problems. I'm not familiar with the details but I'd imagine if you configure it to use say 8 threads, all it does is split the work into 8 threads and it is someone else's problem where they go. I don't know if there are ways to signal how those threads should be grouped/assigned. I get that. It just feels like you're blaming them for something not under their control. As mentioned earlier, people have used Process Lasso to address this. I'm still not sure I understand Slurm but very loosely they seem to have a similar role in controlling what should go where.
  14. Banned because my chances of survival may not be as low as I thought.
  15. I would never recommend exposing your NAS. I work in IT and the Amount of Endusers who did this and got their QNAP ransomwared is insane... I myself expose some Services from my Homenetwork, but those are behind a Reverse Proxy, have 2FA set up and are in their own VLAN, so if something does happen, it will not be able to spread. If you do not have experience with exposing anything to the public, please concider putting everything behind a VPN.
  16. Any luck with Ramanujan? I dropped my bunked this then only got two tasks since.
  17. You HAVE to set up a firewall if you want to expose ports to internet. Considering your lack of experience is showing up in the OP, I would recommend hosting a VPN server instead of exposing everything to internet.
  18. It might work, but its quite slow waterflow compared to a regular watercooling pump. For instance, the EK D5 MX pump delivers up to 1200 L/H while that pump is only 420 L/H
  19. Not only Lenovo. At least Lenovo enables Fn-lock meaning it is still just one key (F10 or F12).
  20. They both practically have the same price here, if I try I can get the RM850x for a little cheaper but the difference isn't huge between them in price
  21. Hi i'm kinda new for networking stuff and still very confused, got a plan to upgrade my home internet to the public one, which is faster, and i need outside connection to my NVR and NAS , do i need set up firewall or anything after the upgrade ? and how to make sure my internet secure ?
