  1. Past hour
  2. then price for whole system would go up to $300 (though 730 is basically useless so maybe $290, though I think you could get away with even $310 since it has that 32gb of ram and a similar system would sell for $410 new) What's the storage?
  3. agree on the lancool, but imo the deepcool LS is the best looking aio, also performs on par with the liquid freezer
  4. could probably make it sell faster if you drop in a 30$ polaris 70 80 4gb card cause noones interested in a gt730 but someone looking for an entry level gaming system would probably be interested if it actually had a competent gpu kinda just opens the pc up from niche buyers that know their shit to a buncha gamers looking for an entry level gaminf system for cheap value wise maybe 250-300$
  5. I will draw an example from my own experience learning to code on a 1024x768 Pentium II laptop. It is very convenient to put your learning materials and your in-progress code on screen at the same time. I think this is fully appropriate advice for a beginner.
  6. If this is for work and not homelab, the price of a proper mobo shouldn’t be much of a concern. If you really do need that speed, you probably do need to look at enterprise grade mono’s.
  7. 5600X will go for about $100 32gb of ram would be $50 or $45 since they're selling for $55 new (not vengeance but still 32gb 3200 CL16) GT 730 is worth like half the ram. I sold my GT 1030 two years ago for £30 (around $35) so I think $25 Q300L go for around $40 new so $25/$30 seems reasonable for a used one, remember to clean it $20 for the pure rock 2 $80 for the SF750L All of the above prices are if they were standalone so if you were going to sell it as a system then I'd say $250, but there's no motherboard or storage So I'd say $295 for these parts sold seperately Where's the motherboard and storage though?
  8. Hi there! I'm looking for a self-hosted image gallery-style (hopefully web-based) application that I can just dump images into and it'll classify images and allow me to search through 7,000+ images for a specific image using text or object recognition. (Mostly memes that I've saved and now can't find because there's over 7000 of them) Has anyone heard of any software like this or even a library that I could implement into my own solution?
  9. I’m having an issue with my mom’s SSD, she wants her pictures and other files cloned onto an external SATA drive. But the ssd she gave me is somehow locked, when I try to access it I am met with a message saying I do not have permission to access this drive.
  10. putting in another stick of ram will be enough gpu upgrade wise maybe a used 6800xt/6900xt/6950xt or 3080(ti) those should be around the 350€ mark for a cpu upgrade yea youd wanna overhaul the platfrom, better off just buying another stick of ram + slotting in a better gpu and save up abit to go am5 with a 7600 + b650m hdv/equivalent + 32gb 6000c30/32 psu wise what psu do you have? usually a pretty stupid "upgrade" if it isnt neccesary and just a waste of money and psu lifespan and storage wise just buy however much you need be it 1tb 2tb 4tb, i assume you dont edit high res videos or any storage intensive stuff so a cheap dram gen3 will do, avoid samsungs (especially the ancient 970 evo) and the p3 (plus) as theyre overpriced and better options exist for cheaper
  11. Learning that stuff is for the Tech Quckie channel IMO why would you learn it for the tech tips??? hm
  12. 1. Yes there is a use case and no I cannot specify due to work contraints. 2. The problem is also that the 100Gbit nic shows up at 100Gbps but on an 8x link the real world throughput is only 10Gbps. The old Connect X 3 MCX354A-FCBT cards that we upgraded from were easily able to hit 35-36Gbps on an 8x link with no problem, so with the slower link speed on this new card is causing a problem.
  13. Banned because I am a nerd.
  14. Banned because you are named ,,nerd"
  15. Not really. It's more like 3 posts of drama and 3 pages people fulfilling their urge to tell everyone how they don't see any problem.
  16. DDR5 differs from previous generations with respect to 2 vs 4 modules. Get a 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL 30 memory kit. It's the sweet spot for your CPU. Nothing wrong with choosing an AIO for aesthetic reasons. Consider the Liquid Freezer III 360. It has an offset option that better positions the cold plate for cooling your CPU. The Liquid Freezer III radiator is thicker than most and would be best housed in the top of a case like the Lancool 216. (That case has options for motherboard mounting that can provide more room at the top.) There are A-RGB versions of this case in black or white.
  17. As stated above, a good enterprise HBA will last a very long time. Can it fail, yes, anything can. But I’d trust a supermicro HBA to outlast a consumer motherboard… If you want to go the HBA route, look at Dell h310’s on eBay. Make sure to get one flashed to IT mode, and get one that comes with SAS to SATA cables bundled with it. Usually about 30-40 bucks.
  18. Well, having that PSU in it will allow someone to throw almost any GPU in it, so use that as a selling point. You do you, can''t comment on if you need the money, or the space, or more machines, etc. I just know I wouldn't pay more than $250 for what you listed.
  19. Wow damn, really didn't think we'd do it in time. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo But have to keep it too though
  20. For the amount of money I'd spend I think it be more worth getting a newer platform over network card. But if your curious I'm running a connect x5 cx555a and a rx 7900xtx. The cx555a are kinda cheap on the used.
  21. It's just one I had lying around! I'm also thinking of spicing it up, putting a M4000 GPU in it, 64GB of RAM and using it as a Filmworkz Nucoda render system but not 100% sure about that yet.
  22. everything i check says its fine ive ran benchmarks ,ive ran gpu intensive games nothing i see clearly says THIS IS DYING FIX IT NOW other then not seeing anything wrong on any software ive only gotten minor artifacting
  23. Probably around $250. Good base for adding a GPU to. No fucking clue why that PSU is in it. I'd use that in another build, personally.
  24. Hello, I need a 7.5m+ hdmi 2.1 cable, to connect my 3080 to my 4k 120hz tv. I had bad experience with my previous purchases, I had two cables one from Aliexpress and one from Amazon, both had good reviews, but I experienced signal drop outs and artifacts with both of them (moving my pc to tv and connecting with a copper one works fine). They both were around 60 bucks, which I already find pretty expensive, but I guess they I need to spend more to get a decent one. I'd be happy to get some recomendations, if someone had used decent cables, that are not too expensive.
