  1. I find some of Steve's points not that troubling, like the private framework investment or the past workplaces of some employees. But the Billet Labs situation makes me speechless. So many bad takes and then selling the prototype. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK LMG? In WAN we get all the talk about how hard product design is. How small creators are affected by YouTube decisions or by react content. But when it is in LMG's hand you don't seem to be any better. I also stopped watching ShortCircut some weeks ago, because I felt like the content was just useless. It is to long and has to many opinions for an unboxing but is not accurate enough to be review. I also felt misled with a ShortCirut representation of a product, after buing it myself. I was already disappointed by the "Trust me Bro" shitshow. Even if Linus is now publicly stating that this wasn't a great move, there is still no heartfelt apology. So, I will again hope for the best but only expect a “RIP Billet Labs” t-shirt on WAN show. Which is kind of sad. ☹
  2. I find all points made by Steve fair and correct. In my opinion the laughing during WAN and the TRUST ME BRO t-shirt were in poor taste, but my opinion clearly doesn't matter, because Linus sold additional 100 shirts, so all is good. I got the feeling Linus really doesn’t want to admit to any wrongdoing and doubled down without getting the point. If Linus doesn't even listen to Luke, my hope for a more down to earth consumer oriented Linus is quickly eroding, which would be unfortunate, because I like the idea of Lab32. Linus has spent years of slowly earning my trust and I hope he can reflect on this before all this trust is lost.
  3. Ubiquiti seems to be suing a security journalist, who reported about an Ubiquiti security breach, but did not update his article after it was clear that it was an inside job. Still, I think that this is not a good look for a company with security products. As a Floatplane user I don't know if they are a sponsor, but LTT worked with them in the past. https://www.theregister.com/2022/03/30/ubiquiti_brian_krebs/
  4. Are you sure the left Windows key gets replaced and not the right one? I am a heavy user of the left Windows key and can only find pictures where the right one got replaced. BTW Great post as always!
  5. The two main reasons for me are: Apps - Software for our 24/7 monitoring is only available on Android. The customizability - I want to change the look of the OS as much as I like.
  6. The new HTC Vive Pro will feature: dual 1440x1600 OLED screens (78% increase over current Vive) will be lighter and more comfortable (including for glasses wearers) built in audio is getting an upgrade It will be released this quarter and be compatible with v1 lighthouses. I think this is a great version two and backwards compatibility is always great. But I fear that with the PRO name the price will also be "pro". 7. Ryan believes there was an error in testing Fallout, thats why I wrote he will retest Fallout again.
  8. The final pcper review is here: https://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/Radeon-Vega-Frontier-Edition-16GB-Air-Cooled-Review Very Interesting and worth a look! The Fallout 4 Benchmark was corrected everything else seems to be the same. And finaly from the professional standpoint it looks a bit better. Professional Benchmarks: Bonus: Nude Vega https://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/Radeon-Vega-Frontier-Edition-GPU-and-PCB-Exposed ----------------------------------------------------- Old Post ----------------------------------------------------- Today pcper gave us a behind the scenes Livestream of their Vega Frontier Edition benchmarking and at the end we got a sneak peek of their gaming results. Please visit pcper.com tomorrow to get the full Story. I will link it here when it goes up! Here are some early gaming results. The benchmarks are not 100% done and more cards & productivity benchmarks will be added. Gaming: 2560x1440: Gaming 3840x2160: Source Video with some timestamps: 1:19h ethminer 1:36h excavator mining 1:42h gaming benchmark results 1:44:45h Ryan Shrout's closing thoughts The first half of the stream is missing. In my opinion the gaming results are not great. It will be hard to price Vega FX competitivly if it uses HBM and only performces a bit better than a GTX 1070.

  11. You can't hotlink videocardz pics. They only show if you already viewed the image. So only you can see the pic, because you obviously watched it already
