Mini-ITX for gaming (SilverStone SG05)

Heya all,

Can I get some opinion on this build please? I am planning to buy the parts, soon, but not sure if this is well put together. Is this good value?

It will be for Adobe Photoshop (so I need a good CPU, and 16 GB RAM) and Gaming (1080p, 1440p, smoother the better, 60 fps (would be nice to avoid microstutter)....but probably some microstutter is unavoidable...last microstutterless gaming experience of mine was like 7 years ago, in Call of Duty: UO's time....

The GPU may not be very good when it comes to price to performance, but I own a similar card and mine works great.

Stick with the 970 for a SFF build; less heat output into the case. See if you can't find a reference style card for cheaper, it will help with heat as it gets exhausted out of the case with this design. SFF with stock i5 is about as good a situation for a budget AIO as you'll see, though the idea still feels kinda...dirty. If it was me I'd look for air alternatives.

EDIT: Stupid me, obviously you picked that card cos of length issues. Hmm..

If you make a post contradicting mine that doesn't directly address my claims, or cites 'facts' without evidence, I'm probably not going to bother responding to it, because you probably didn't bother reading my post properly, and because life is too short. It doesn't mean I don't have an answer for you. It means I'm not dignifying you with a response.

The SG05 is GPU limited for regular sized (10 inch) cards. Some of the 970s, like this EVGA one, fits as long as my research didnt lie. Can you elaborate on why air alternatives are better? Is this CPU cooler I chose not sufficient for this processor?

EDIT: I chose this simple liquid cooler , because I am not sure if I have enough space between the PSU and the CPU for anything else.

If you have large libraries like mine, consider a 1 TB HDD, otherwise everything looks pretty good

What? A 970 has one of the best price/performance points ever made! And at 300 bucks that's a tough deal to beat

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

1, I think Cooler Master Seidon 120V might be a better option for cooling, and also I can get it for cheaper than the Antec. Right?

HDD: I have a 2TB USB 3.0 external HDD, which serves me well for storing big data for now.

2, One thing I am not sure of still...is the i5 6400 CPU....because its only 2.7 Ghz..... wouldnt it be better value, to get a i5 6500 3.2Ghz? Its almsot the same price...Can I keep that on normal temps? I should be able to ...right?

3, Also, how many displays can I connect? I am using dp port currently, to connect my display to my laptop, but I can't see any DP port on this build, am I wrong?

For the price, I think that a 390 is much better for price to performance.
