Best Budget Desktop Speakers?

I really like the look of the JBL Pebbles 2.0, always liked the JBL sound quality and design but also the 

Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II (2.0) seem decent too.

Does anyone know which one will perform better at high volumes and not distort?

 

 

I know you audiophiles will probably know better speakers so my budget is £40-50 if you have any suggestions!

I haven't had a single issue with JBL speakers in general. So, all I can say is that the JBL Pebbles 2.0 is a pretty good option.

I can't say much about Creative since I haven't experienced much from them as far as I know.
