Hi guys, I need an AMD build without the following components

  • ram
  • GPU
  • cpu cooler

So everything else is needed.

I have a budget of $500 Canadian....I will be getting a CPU cooler AFTER and will be overclocking once I have that, so keep that in mind.

I would really prefer one of the 8 core processors

No plans for dual GPU, and will upgrade memory to 16gb

Main PC: 4690k // Z97 // R9 280 3GB // 8gb Ram // CM Elite 430 Case // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Living Room "Console" PC: FX 8350 // 990a SLI Krait // R7 360 // 8gb Ram // HAF 912 // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Future Plans:

find a 2nd monitor at a pawn shop

Sell/giveaway R7 360, move r9 280 into console PC, buy a better GPU for main PC.

Forgot to mention a case with a window would be awesome, but that's more for the remainder of the budget.

Main PC: 4690k // Z97 // R9 280 3GB // 8gb Ram // CM Elite 430 Case // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Living Room "Console" PC: FX 8350 // 990a SLI Krait // R7 360 // 8gb Ram // HAF 912 // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

What are you using it for?

What do you have already? (What is your graphics card? What ram do you have? What cooler do you have?)

What case do you like?

Is there a reason you want AMD instead of Intel

Yea, I will be running my business program on it when my brother isn't using it; The program HEAVILY prefers AMD.  If i wanted to with Intel to get same performance, I would be looking at high end i7.

What are you using it for?

What do you have already? (What is your graphics card? What ram do you have? What cooler do you have?)

What case do you like?

1) Gaming and schoolwork for my brother

  • Basically all the newer titles.  He only needs console equivalent graphics so that should be a problem.

2) r9 280, 8gb ram, hyper 212 Evo

3) One with a window  would be preferred as it is a christmas present (1month early i should mention lol).  But anything with great airflow and fan options is perfect.

Main PC: 4690k // Z97 // R9 280 3GB // 8gb Ram // CM Elite 430 Case // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Living Room "Console" PC: FX 8350 // 990a SLI Krait // R7 360 // 8gb Ram // HAF 912 // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Future Plans:

Sell/giveaway R7 360, move r9 280 into console PC, buy a better GPU for main PC.

Lets just say We don't need an OS.... ;)

Where can we throw that money LOL.

Also, maybe not even an SSD..

I should also mention that $500 is the max, feel free to leave some cash in my wallet.

Hmm.  Will that PSU be good enough to handle overclocking The proc?  will probably do 4.5ghz

The 8350 will overclock better than the 8320, and a 990FX board will overclock better.
