Theoretical question about 4 gpu configuration + 3 other cards

Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible theoretically when you put 4 two slot gpu's in an 4 way sli/crossfire configuration on a motherboard(let's say for example on a asus X99-E WS) through gpu risers in a custom case and you fit in the remaining pcie slots 3 other one slot cards(e.g.: a network card, pcie ssd's, or a sound card), that those other 3 extension cards will be working?

Thanks :)

The GPU' s will most likely be bottlenecked by limited PCIe lanes.

Not only that, you'd have to find a motherboard that actually supports all 7 slots being used at the same time. Most mobos aren't electrically designed to support 7 expansion cards, even without taking CPU lanes into consideration.

The asus x99 ws can, if you run on single slot cards.
