Does anyone know how to view hardware ID's of unknown devices in Windows 98?

same as other Windows

 

check in device manager

 

then select properties on the device and under details

 

select hardware ID

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Actually you cant.  It is not like newer versions of Windows.  Please know what you're talking about before you post again.

 

To anyone else who is following, I just downloaded a 3rd party program called UnknownDevices and used it.
