Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

If you're looking for good rendering quality the Fx8350 will do just fine since it has 8 cores.

Video editing takes advantage of those cores and since you're on a budget AMD is probably the way to go for you.

Unless you're willing to spend approx 400+ on the CPU alone for an Intel CPU with hyper threading.

if you're at an extremely low budget the 8-core AMD parts are pretty decent picks.

dont expect them to perform well on single-threaded stuff tho.

i'd figure out a build, but pcpp seems to be a train wreck today...

finally...

changes:

- added big cpu cooler, you're gonna need it.

- saved a few pennies on ram

- dropped to a lower GPU, to have more budget for cooling that 8-core.

- swapped out the PSU for a seasonic. cheaper, better quality, and you're not gonna need more wattage.

That depends on the program.

I found that Sony vegas loves the hell out of the 8350, it renders a bit faster than my 4790k.

But the adobe suite... doesn't like it.

What is OP editing with?
