Couple questions about gtx 970/intel i5 4460

Hello,I recently got my new computer build set up and running.

However i'm still new to computer building so I have to ask couple questions to make sure my system is running at ok.

This is what my Gigabyte gtx 970 g1 gaming is running at with light internet browsing (youtube playing in the background).

And my Intel i5 4460 is like this with the same load:

Cpu is at 41c idle, and goes up to 70c while playing Witcher 3

Gtx 970 is running at around 45c idle, and up to around 78c while playing Witcher 3.

I'm using SilentiumPC Spartan PRO HE924 cpu cooler. I know it's not too good and I might upgrade it to a better one in the future.

Also sorry if this is on the wrong section.

The heat seems a bit odd for the 970, mine only just exceeds 60 on a stress test :P but then again everything seems good enough maybe try a Cooler master hyper 212x for the cpu cooler if you want something cheap but good

Try re installing the driver for your 970 and maybe virus scan your pc, it seems like you could have a bitcoin miner virus, a lot of game torrents have hidden virus's like that.

Check the ventilation of your room and the case, I ran into problems not too long ago where hot air couldnt escape my case very well because of how it was positioned in my room and this caused idle temps to be way too high.

I did a virus scan on avast and malwarebytes, found nothing. Also reinstalled drivers. However I realised I had set nvdia control panel on prefer maxinum performance instead of adaptive. Changing it to adaptive seems to have fixed my problem. This is how my gpu is running now with light web browsing.

This should be alright?

78*C max? Damn, that's more than a 390 - it should NOT be that high.
