Is it just overpriced ram? Or are the looks worth the extra price?

HyperX Fury's are the reason I'd probably never buy it

Not about the looks, it's binning is what makes it good. DDR3 Plat's have a pretty good bin, but still doesn't rival Trident X's or and PSC based memory.

 

Looks are just an extra feature of them.

I wouldn't ever pay for plats.

Not about the looks, it's binning is what makes it good. DDR3 Plat's have a pretty good bin, but still doesn't rival Trident X's or and PSC based memory.

 

Looks are just an extra feature of them.

I wouldn't ever pay for plats.

 

So based on what everybody is saying especially @Gofspar I am going to buy them just because I can :D and because they look sexy as hell if you have all of your slots filled with them

Think of it this way.  You're buying a shiny product with a 1ms difference to a much cheaper option via latency aka the CAS.  xD
