Powerline adapter to 2nd Wireless router

Kaiokhen

Hey guys,

Currently my router is on the 2nd FL. I want to have wifi in the basement. Right now my computers are hooked through powerline adapter for access. Recently i bought  Securifi Almond to extend my Wifi. Little i find out the speed was horrendous and it did not help.

So i was wondering is there a way i can connect my powerline adapter to a 2nd wireless router? I have been looking for a tutorial but I have no real success with it. Is there a wifi router that i can do this?

I appreciate your answer!

It should just be a matter of connecting both routers to a set of paired powerline adapters. It would work like a hardline between the routers. Setting the second router to access point mode if it has it, can make it easier to set up and cause less problems.

Not really. The router should automatically configure itself to send data to the other router which is connected to the line in. It's just that having it as an AP makes it less likely to conflict and technically can reduce the time packets need processing (though, it's tiny, tiny amounts of time)

I like Computer Stuffs. Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it in again? Automation Expert (Bots, scripts, etc)! Add me on Xbox Live: JollyPlanet449 And on Steam!: Baxtmann Wanshow.tips is a cool place too
