Weird scaling issues on second monitor?

Lokhu
Go to solution Solved by Lokhu,

I have found a solution:

Changing the registry value LogPixels in HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Control Panel -> Desktop in the registry editor to 96, I had to add the value myself as a DWORD value. Found that HERE.

I am having a problem with my second monitor. All applications seem to scale wrong as if the monitor was a lower resolution than it is. I have checked both the windows and nvidia control panels and things seem to be the way they should be.

Graphics drivers are also updated to latest version.

Specs:

  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 660
  • Intel Core i5-3470
  • 12GB ram
  • Windows 10 home 64-bit
  • 2 random 1080p monitors

Reinstall Nvidia drivers, I had a similar problem, and reinstalling the Nvidia drivers and a reboot fixed it.

Are you able to try another OS?

Try booting a live CD of Ubuntu to see whether you have the same scaling issues. If you do then its the monitors, if you don't then i'd blame Windows and suggest to try an older version of Windows like 8.1

System Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT

RAM: 32GB 3600MHz

HDD: 1TB Sabrent NVMe -  WD 1TB Black - WD 2TB Green -  WD 4TB Blue

MB: Gigabyte  B550 Gaming X- RGB Disabled

PSU: Corsair RM850x 80 Plus Gold

Case: BeQuiet! Silent Base 801 Black

Cooler: Noctua NH-DH15

Also if you can find out what monitor it is you can see if other people have the problem. You could also find drivers for the monitor!
