System turns off in a few seconds

Rohit Jackdaw

I had been playing Batman Arkham Knight for a few hours straight(Around 4 hrs) and suddenly during a fight the display went off and the computer still works and I pressed the rest button. It stayed there like that. I then turned it off and then back on and fans spin for a few seconds and then goes off. I tried resetting CMOS, reseating GPU and memory and at one point it posted to the diagnostic page of board where it showed the CPU and the amount of RAM but after turning back on same thing.Temps are fine. Thanks.

the only other troubleshooting techniques that dont involve swapping hardware that i can think of are:

try to boot with one module of RAM

unplug any other HDD's apart from the Boot disk

Unplug any usb devices apart from keyboard

If none of these help it could be a dud component
