Window 10 on Lenovo Y50

Hey guys,

 

I just wanted to ask if anyone has installed W10 on their Y50. I have yet to make the upgrade as I want to make sure if all the drivers are working accordingly. For those who have, are there any issues or improvements you guys have noticed? Performance increase? What about the battery life maybe? Kinda excited to upgrade it but anxious as well.

I don't recommend upgrading.

It can really go wrong, everyone is like "nah that won't happen to me" but it happened to me yesterday and it sucked balls. I did a clean install of Win 10 afterwards

Just backup your files and games and write down all the programs you need to reinstall

 

Ah okay. I'll wait then. W10 looks really good though. So excited. What issues did you come into btw?

Taskbar no longer worked, making it pretty much unusable

Oh that sucks. Does it work after the clean install?

Did you wait for about an hour? I didn't install on a Y50, but I had the same issue. Within an hour of first booting into 10 and a restart, everything worked fine.
