144hz Monitor Decision

_SmiFFy_

Hi,

I'm currently deciding between AOC G2460FQ and BenQ XL2411Z LED 24-inch.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these monitors or both?

Since I am in the market for 144hz monitor, can anyone suggest a better monitor than the two listed for under £200 or just over it (I don't mind)

The use for these monitor will be mainly gaming. In terms of prioritising features, id prefer a 'smoother' / 'anti-blur' over quality id say (as i'm quite competitive), however I don't want the colours to be pathetically worn out etc.

Main games i would be playing are FPS: CS:GO, Battlefield 4 etc.

Any help would be appreciated ?

Thanks,

             Adam :D

I play CS:GO with my XL2411z and i love it. The colors are what they are at this price point but o boy the 144hz looks nice.

Hi, So you think the colours are good, or would you say they are fairly dissapointing?

I'd say decent but in gaming use the 144hz pays of the colors. But for professional photoediting the colors aren't enough.

Hi again, another query: What Cable do you use to connect your PC to your Monitor, i read just earlier that HDMI only supports 60Hz or in order to reach 144hz, you require a DVI Lead/cable. Is this true?

The 2411z comes with the dvi cable required to run at 144hz

I can recommend the Asus VG248QE, it's $229 on Amazon atm. The colors are decent and my monitor has a little bit of bleed, but nothing too extreme. Other than that the monitor is great and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I use DisplayPort, but DVI works too. This video can explain it better :)
