Go to solution Solved by RayhanAli,

For those of you who are having the same problem do this:

  1. Go to the share menu by clicking on the share button on controller
  2. Click the options button
  3. Click Share Settings
  4. Click Video Clip Settings
  5. Check 'Include microphone audio in video clip'

This should solve the problem. It has worked for me!

Hey guys,

So I want to record my PS4 gameplay and like funny moments etc with my friends (yes I have friends...)

I recently recorded a bit of gameplay and I realised that the PS4 didnt record the chat audio. It only recorded the game audio.

After looking around I found that I had to change the audio output source to my speakers. But I want to use my headset for my chat audio and for my game audio and use its mic.

Do you guys know what I should do?

BTW its a USB headset

Thanks,

Rayhan

Have all audio going to headset then have a splitter on the consoles output to the headset and the recorder

What do you record with?

The PS4 itself.

The PS4 itself.

What i said above should work... I think.

Go into the share settings, Broadcast settings and check that Include Microphone Audio is checked, also party chat.

EDIT: Also, go into Video clips settings and check Include Mic Audio.

Here

If you are serious about this, you should get a capture card.

I know but in the past 6 months or so I have spent around £2000 on my setup and I don't REALLY want to spend more just yet. But I will definitely be getting a capture card in the future
