Mechanical vs Membrane / Straight vs Curved

SansVarnic

I don't know much about going pro with keyboards as I really don't see an advantage here.

By preference I like a curved, quiet keyboard. Similar to this one https://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/sculpt-comfort-desktop

I find it much more comfortable to use than a straight board. If any of say for example SteelSeries was to make a gaming keyboard with this in mind I would buy it.

Thoughts?

*Edit*

I don't like the click-ity sound mechanical keys make either. I prefer they not make a noise, I want to hear the game not my keyboard.

Not all mechanical keys click. If you go for brown switches, with o-rings they're pretty much silent.

I wouldn't spend $80 on a membrane keyboard, they feel too mushy.

Brown's click. They're quiet, but they click. Red's are linear and pretty much silent unless you bottom the key out.

They're tactile, they don't click. Reds don't click and are linear, but they feel like crap to type with IMO.

The noise from just pressing the key is much louder than the tactile bump on browns.

Well I thought you meant click as in tactile feedback...
