Upgrade path? PLZ help

Ok so if you want to see my current setup look at my page and then look at the build in the description.

Now here is my problem I will have about $300 to spend on upgrades soon.

So what do I do buy the 970 and bottleneck my cpu or save the money altogether when skylake comes out?

A few other options are to save $120 for a skylake mobo and to buy a mouse and headset...

I don't know what to do but want to get to my end goal...

What should I do and thank you for your help!

I think your PC is good enough to play any games that are out right now. In my opinion you should just wait untill you have money to buy everything at once.

Ok this is definitely reassuring in some ways as I don't actually have a 1080p monitor and would like a nice mouse and headset

Get an i3 4160 and a new motherboard like the MSI H97M-G43, the FX6300 is a joke.

I will wait for skylake so I think what I would do in this case is save $120 for a mobo and then get the cpu with Christmas money...

That is an option but It is not a big enough improvement for me to take as it is no over clockable and is a dying chipset and socket beyond the fact that I want to eventually have an i7 so I should skip the i5 stage altogether

all games are optimized but I am planning on doing some video editing and so i will go to an i7 at ssome point therefore I am upgrading to upgrade in a year which doesn't make sense money wise...

you can get xeon e3 xxxx cpu and have same preformance as i7 in rendering and gaming(only oc capabilities but its a tiny improvement) (5%) for 100$
