ASUS PQ321QE shuts OFF after 2 hours of being asleep

MammothJerk

i have an ASUS PQ321QE that i have a problem with

whenever my monitor goes to sleep if i leave it asleep for longer then 2 hours it will shut itself off.

when the monitor goes to sleep, first the screen goes black for a few seconds and then the no signal box pops up and the monitor goes to sleep as indicated by the power led turning red. if i move my mouse within 2 hours the monitor will work as intended and wake up from sleep mode.

however when i wait for longer then 2 hours the monitor power LED will turn off and i have to start the monitor on its powerbutton for it to turn on again.

this also messes with my desktop layout because when the monitor shuts off windows recognizes that as the moniter being disconnected

i have another dp monitor connected that does not have this problem

i have tried disconnecting all other monitors but that doesnt change anything.

does it have something to do with the monitor itself? has it do do with my gtx 780? is the cable bad?

windows 8.1

2x gtx 780 SLI

You could turn off the display sleeping in windows?

you mean disconnecting it in the screen resolution panel?
