PSU Choice

Go to solution Solved by EpicGeekonFire,

Yes that's plenty of power. If you can, I get a slightly better PSU. This one seems to get bad reviews on Newegg.

I'm going to build a system and i'm not sure if the psu i'm going for has enough power. I'm also planning to overclock the cpu and gpu a little.

System:

CPU: Intel Core i7 5930K

CPU-Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H105

GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Strix DC2OC

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport Series (4x 4GB)

MOBO: ASUS X99-A

SSD: Kingston SSDNow V300 (240GB)

HDD: WD Green (2TB)

PSU: Corsair CS750M

Case: Fractal Design Define S

Is there enough headroom for a slight overclock with the Corsair CS750M?

All those nice components and a cheap PSU... I would get either XFX/EVGA/Seasonic or Superflower much better quality.

It would be a better option to use.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

Evga G2 would be better. They're higher quality and generally cheaper

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Sadly the shop i'm buying the parts at doesn't sell Evga power supplies.
