12 Hours into the Witcher 2 and Completely bored, Could I just start TW3

Shaan5

I have played about 12 Hours of the Witcher 2 and I was really enjoying it but all of a sudden, As soon as I got to vergen, I just got very weirdly bored of the Game and i have no idea why, I really want to move on to The Witcher 3 but I feel like I would be missing out if I didn't beat 2, at the same time though, I don't want to force myself through a game that I'm not really enjoying anymore

Any Ideas?

@Shaan5 Take a break, go watch tv/movie or play another game for awhile then go back to TW2 and see if that helps.

Yea, this is good avice. Sometimes you get so hyped that you will actualy start to lose interrest. Like if you are really waiting for someone to cooc your favourite food and you can smell it and imagine taste for hours then when suddenly they server you the food you already had enough of it from your imagination.

This happens to me when I really wanna play the next title, but I've already made my way through The Witcher and now I'm getting prepared to dive into the 2nd one.

As someone who played the The Witcher for 2 hours and got bored of the game (Mostly hated the controls / the way the game was played) and completed The Witcher 2 I would probably skip it. The only things I thought to myself "Oh I remembered that from TW2" was when you find Phillipa. Not going to spoil anything, I have already finished the main story in about 45 hours doing some minor side quests on the road while pursing the main quest. All in all it is a great game, Only things that bother me are the damn crashes that randomly happen, I've lost some really good loot because of it.

Should've gone with Roche. His storyline is much more fun in my opinion.

I personally found Witcher 2 boring. Amazing story and graphics, but the gameplay was lacking. After act 2 I just wikied everything and moved to Witcher 3. So far I put in 47 hours into the game and it's only been out a week. So in 7 days 2 whole days was spent alone playing the game and I'd be playing right now if I didn't have to eat.

I don't actually think you need to complete TW2 too be able to enjoy TW3. Some parts of it will be a bit more exciting i suppose as they will tie into stuff that happened in TW2, but all in all i don't think its necessarily.

I would say complete TW2 thou, as in the time it takes TW3 might have a fix for some of the small bugs that are stopping it from being an extraordinarily enjoyable play. Right now its just a good play, as a few things completely break my immersion.

Cheers

If you are in Vergen with Iorweth then there is Loc Muine chapter which is quite short with Iorweths path. So after you complete Vergen you should have around 2-3h before the end of game.

Vergen is around 4-5h long depends on how fast you play and if you are trying to collect everything.
