Which amp to buy?

Agazed

Hello! I bought a Lepai LP-2024A+ amp about 3 months ago and it is one of the cheapest products ive ever used.

When it arrived, the L- speaker output wasn't working, so I had to run my speakers in one channel which wasn't a big deal for me. Then, about a month later the LED on the volume control blew out, which also wasn't a big deal.

But today, the entire amp stopped working and nothing turns on. So I need a new one now :(

Anyway, here are my requirements:

  • No white noise! The Lepai one made the speakers hiss when turned on.
  • Same wattage as the Lepai one is fine.
  • 2 channels
  • Bass and treble knobs

Most quality small amps don't have bass and treble knobs. Can't you do the EQ'ing via your PC?

Have a look at SMSL and Muse's offerings on eBay.

True, but for me it's annoying changing the settings. I prefer physical buttons, but it's not really a must.

Do you recommend specific models?
