GTX 980 Microstuttering

Scia

Hi,

My brother bough a Gigabyte WIndforce 3 GTX 980 yesterday and I've installed it in his PC.

I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers (was using a 670 before that) with Display Driver Uninstaller, put the card into the PC and rebooted / installed the lastest version of the Nvidia driver.

Now he's experiencing Microstutter-like behavior in Diablo III and GTA V which hasn't been there while he was using his 670.

Any ideas? ^^

Thx :)

His System specs are:

3570k Stock

MSI Mpower z77

16GB Kingston Hyper X Beast 2133MHZ

Remove driver, install driver that came out just before

Edit : Also screencap GPU usage while gaming, with something like afterburner

Oh btw by "screencap" you mean VSync?

screen capture the gpu usage while gaming, using afterburner or any other gpu monitoring tool

Should look like this

It just helps to see where the problem is
