Corsair RGB Keyboard owners: Update CUE and Firmware

Guest Kloaked

There's a new update out that I just noticed today as of 4/27. If you haven't rebooted your PC recently, go to the Settings tab on CUE, go to Device and update your Firmware, then after that go to Program and click Update to get the new CUE update.

Don't update until they work the bugs out, as you could actually be downgrading

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

Isn't that what the updates are for?

Yes, but nothing is perfect

The title madeit seems like there would be a huge problem if you don't, but the post just said it like it was a nice thing. That "now" at the end of the title is what made it seem like it would be urgent.

The keyboards are generally buggy all around as it is.

I didn't think about the perceived context, but I put it there as in "there's an update available now". It all came out the wrong way and at the same time. Happens when I talk/type all of the time.

constant freezing when opening steam/games, very long boot times or would hang. it wouldn't type when i would get to login screen for os, sometimes would wait mins still nothing, used onscreen with mouse. software needed to load before anything would work. it did work in bios. changing the polling rated fixed this but, got annoying when switching games. haven't tried bios yet, no reason. so, as of now update so been a godsend.

Nice. I've had the freezing and the keys not registering at login for a few moments myself.

I've also noticed with GTA:5 that sometimes my keyboard effects will stop working or will lag during gameplay.

I posted about this day after the update.

Updating software and firmware fixed my biggest problem (long booting time).

:)

Played with the colours but don't think keyboard can show 16.8M colours. Certainly not with LEDs they used I guess.

Has the update made the RGB programming easier?

What do they know of England, who only England know?

Corsair forum, only downloaded like 5 (rainbow, some ripple effect animated one, thunderstorm, fire, rainy lake).

Gonna check it again today to see if any good ones were made with new update.
