About to build first gaming PC

I want to know if i can get any major improvements without taking me over 1500 dollars

 

Graphics: GTX 970 = $330

Processor: i7 3770 = $0(have one already)

HSF: Cryorig H5 = $47

Hard drive: 1tb = 0(have already)

Mother Board = MSI Z97-Gaming 7 = $180

Memory : 2x G.SKILL  Trident X series ripjaws 8G 240 pin = $135

SSD: Crucial mx100 ct256SSD1 2.5 internal solid state = $115

PSU: EVGA 850 G2 = $130

Case: Cooler Master HAF X RC-942KKN1 Black Steel = $170

 

Total 1070 dollars

That mobo of yours won't work. It's the wrong socket.

i would buy a GTX 980 instead of a 970 since its the newer model is ony a extra $200,and it still is keeping you in budget

Well i already have a hard drive and i kind of want a 256GB solid state. Also why change the Memory? I also have no clue what a liquid cpu cooler is or how to install it.

I changed the memory because 8gbs is all you'll need. Unless you plan on doing heavy video rendering, but you didn't state that, so...

 

I don't think that you need a 250gb SSD, but given the fact that you still have some budget left, and that you won't need an HD, you may as well buy it.

 

Do you know how to install a regular CPU cooler? Do you know how to install a regular case fan? If you said "yes" to both questions, you know how to install a liquid AIO; it's just about the same thing. And if you said "no".... I think you'll have some troubles when assembling your pc......
