1440p vs 4k

Darkr

Is there a big difference? When playing games will i say 'wow' compared to 1440p? Would it be better to get a 1440p ips or 4k  tn?

I have a 290x reference. Thanks!

The difference is objectively significant. You may be better off with 1440p due to your single 290X, however your games will dictate that.

Well I'm planning to upgrade after the Summer(cfx), and with 1440p I won't be able to get all its wheels turning.

So I'm leaning to 4k... How about 1440p ips?Big difference? I never owned a ips...

If you have a single 290x, then just go for 1440p. You won't be able to experience 4k in its full glory at only 30fps or on medium settings, I would say its worth it if you already have the graphics horse power to run the games you play on high settings, but if you have to buy the monitor and another graphics card, its not really worth all the extra money. I have two 4K TN panels and won't be going back to 1080p or 1440p.

Why not go 4K IPS then. :) Best of both world but torture to the wallet thou.

Anyway, if you are planning to go crossfire, I think 4K would be better.
