Synology Diskstation "System Partition failed"

Megabikerjoe

Hi,

A few days ago I decided to add another 2tb HDD to my Diskstation. I clicked on "Expand Volume" and everything seemed to be working. The expanding-process took 3 days, the last of which I wasn't at home. When I came back and checked if everything was alright, one of the old HDDs was marked as "System Partition failed". However the volume is not degraded and all the files stil seem to be there. Even the SMART data seems to be normal.

Could it be that I need to do the same thing as this guy: http://patnotebook.com/synology-ds1511-hard-disk-crash-not/ which is essentially taking the disk out, formating it, put it back in?

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

Spoiler
