Sli on MSI Z87 Mpower Max AC

Hey guys,

I'm a noob still trying to learn about pc. Please bear with me.

May I ask if i can fix 1 gpu in 1st pcie lane and 2nd gpu on the 3rd lane leaving the 2nd lane empty?

According to the specs my mobo only enables 2 way sli for nvidia. Does that mean i cant fix it on the 3rd lane even if the 2nd lane is empty?

Thank you.

You have to look which lane is 8x capable, otherwise SLI won't work

CPU: Xeon 1230v3 - GPU: GTX 770  - SSD: 120GB 840 Evo - HDD: WD Blue 1TB - RAM: Ballistix 8GB - Case: CM N400 - PSU: CX 600M - Cooling: Cooler Master 212 Evo

Update Plans: Mini ITX this bitch

if it shows like this 3 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (support x16, x8/x8, x8/x4/x4 modes)
