EK Waterblock for Galax HOF 970/980/(980ti)?

So I am currently going to wait until June/July to see what nVidia does with the 980ti.

Almost around the same time the 780 was released (in October) so technically the newer blocks from EK should be coming june/july.

I have my heart set on a 980/980ti more the ti for the 6gb ram for SLI.

this HOF 780ti block "EK-FC780 GTX Ti HOF V20"

I am praying to god they make this exact or similar block for the 980/980ti.

For those people waiting for EK blocks for the HOF 9xx series what do you want? full cover or more something like this.

If it isn't full cover it isn't worth but thats just me. I want as little PCB showing as possible if I put water block on a GPU.

I prefer full cover blocks usually but having a white PCB, I'm not sure on this one:/

Probably a bigger version of that block (just to cover the power delivery more)

I really, really, really hope we get a full block with a clear housing. I am planning on doing a loop with acrylic.

Having said that, it'd be evil to remove such a beautiful cooler.

^This. Not by EK anyways. I believe diamond cooling is/has/will be releasing one. Though, I believe it's pretty ugly.

Huh? Pretty sure Galax showed off the block on their site and Linus tried to get one in his recent build.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.

This guy is doing a build with sli HOF 980s. He already has this block with the beautiful white backplate. It looks almost identical to the EK. I really like it.

What i love most it's part acrylic so you can see some of the liquid. I'm doing White and Purple. Purple being some accents and water color. It's going to look very nice.

  • 2 months later...

Anyone see any blocks out for the 980ti that would go with the HOF theme?
