Do any of you own a PS4 or X1 and still enjoy 30fps experience compared to 60fps on pc?

bydus

I'm not bashing or saying consoles are bad by any means. I just want to know if there are people here who own a bad ass gaming rig as well as lets say PS4 and play games that are capped at 30fps ? Is 30fps on current gen systems smoother than the last gen ? Today I wanted to see if I will be able to play a game and fired up Red dead redemption on 360 and my experience wasn't good :( it felt really choppy, maybe I wasn't noticing it before I switched to 60fps on all my games on PC ? The reason I'm asking is that I kinda want to buy ps4 for shooters(sue me I enjoy shooter games on console more) and exclusives at some point and want to know if I will be ok for other games. I had a PS4 for a while but sold it to buy a gaming rig and I don't remember playing any 30fps games and that seems to be the trend these days. Thanks for replies in advance.

In games I prefer 30 FPS vs 60 FPS+ :)

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

I bought a PS4 for my kids. But got TLoU for myself, and that was 60fps... I don't think all of them run at 60, but a lot do.

And as far as 30FPS trending? South Park: Stick of Truth ;)

For me PC gaming has always been about competitive play.  I'm not interested in owning all of the latest games on there.  Sure I'll buy some now I've got a decent PC again but things like battlefield I'd much rather play sat on my sofa on my PS4.  My brother on the other hand only uses his XBO and plays competitively on that which to me is horrible, it just doesn't feel right.

So yeah I still love gaming on my PS4, I play Far Cry 4, BF4, BF Hardline, Destiny etc etc.  I'm going to look at getting something else FPS for the PC but at the minute I'm playing CS:GO because I got into gaming through 1.6 and Source.

Some games 30FPS don't really bother me, take forza horizon 2 for example, that game is great, the frame rate I feel didn't really deteriorate from the experience. Uncharted games all 30FPS, still great games. However with first person shooters I do get really annoying with anything less than 60FPS, so like CS:GO, battlefield etc. really depends on a game by game basis.

Still rocking a Xbone and ps4 actually. The ps4 i use for netflix and Gta5. The Xbone i use for forza and tv control in the back room.

I still enjoy gaming on both machines, as they both offer differing experiences, but honestly, is till like computer gaming more. The games I play on here I enjoy more, the hate the PS4 controller with a passion, but love the 360 controller. But above all others keyboard and mouse is truly king.
