I don't like the surface of the control version. Speed is the best all rounder. I use a 'speed' surface and 75% of the time I'm not gaming. It feels just like any other mousepad.

Need help with the RMA/retail side of things? Feel free to send me a PM, always happy to share my industry experience with others.

I own goliathus from 2012, I think its control version as I am low in-game sensitivity player.

Every mouse mat will work with any game.

But honestly unless u are choosing between aluminium surface vs fabric, it will not matter too much since there isn't much they can do with fabric to change its surface slipperiness.

Personally not using a mouse pad works better than any mouse pad I have used before.

RIP desk paint/coating.

I did that and my desk top paint layer was dissapearung because of the friction between mouse+hand and desk.

Well maybe you have a bad desk/paint job/finish etc. I have done this over a year and you can't even tell that it has happened.

U are right and many people don't have a quality desk. #IkeaCheapDesks heh.

I was on my PC playing Counter-Strike every day for over 6hours so a lot of traction there.

Any surface will lose its quality, some are just more durable. Nothing lasts forever.
