Laptop for university

so im looking for a very portable notebook solution for around 800€-1000€

for storage i want a 250gb ssd and got no problem with putting it there myself (as long as i got warranty)

for the cpu i would prefer a broadwell chip (battery life and so on)

at least 8gb of ram

1080p panel, ips and touch would be nice

what i found:

-http://skinflint.co.uk/eu/acer-aspire-v-nitro-vn7-571g-51r8-nx-muxev-001-a1243888.html750€ + m.2 ssd

very powerful, m.2 slot, numpad, heavy, poor battery life

-http://skinflint.co.uk/eu/dell-inspiron-13-7000-7348-3818-a1242242.html800€ + 2,5" ssd

portable, huge battery, convertable, ips + touch, not very powerful, small, no numpad

powerful, huge battery, convertable, touch + ips, no information about ssd upgrade (ssd to small)

-dell xps 13 2015 1000€-1100€

beautiful display, no modification needed, HUGE battery, no touch, price, not very powerful

any other ideas?

what would you choose?

thanks for your help

I personally have had REALLY bad experiences with Dell. My brother with an identical laptop, not so much, but I have been looking at some other laptops.

-Look into high end chromebooks. Ones w/ nice keyboards. SSDs go a long way in life!

-Asus Zenbook UX305

To get what you want you'd have to spend a little over your budget for one of the FHD option.

The XPS 13 is a decent option.

I was trying to put in a tweet Dell had about the XPS 13.

Get stuff done..... Macs are known for their productivity, sometimes I boot into my hackintosh so that I wouldn't be distracted and just to work. Office on mac sucks but there is the free office online that Microsoft has and Apple's work app that Linus said worked better than office.

the macbook with 8gb ram and 256gb ssd is way to expensive..

As a uni student also, I use an ipad with keyboard for note taking on the fly, then my desktop for anything more intensive back in my room. Might be something to consider, depending on what you needs are.

I just brought the macbook air 13" w/ 8GB ram and 128 GB storage from apple for $1550 NZD which is about 800 of your currency. I dont see the point in having more than 128 GB of storage when you have a desktop

Is there not Apple in your country? because i got it from the apple nz website but it's being imported from somewhere in China im not paying any import fees. If I was directly importing something i'd having to pay about $300 NZD if i was importing something worth 1500

well i programmed on a mac for a week and i really didnt like it. i know the office online app and it doesnt have the tools i need. the only way to do this on mac is to program it manually in latex which is freaking annoying. also i love the windows math tool where you can draw your stuff in (works perfect with a touch screen)

Are you looking for 13, 14 or 15inch ?

15 works better but 13 is more portable... I can't make up my mind haha.
